Lovely staff, really modern place, rivals many McDonald's with the modern interior decor. The burgers are a massive improvement from the last time I tried burger king. The fries really are fantastic. Quite uniquely tasty. I can see why some people claim they are the best fries you can get at any establishment. Unfortunately burger king is years behind McDonald's when it comes to convenience. Ok they have the screens you can order on but you still have to go inside. No drive through, where it looks like the perfect place to have one. KFC next door has one. They don't even offer a pickup service where you order on your phone, park at the designated spots and they come out with your food. Seems quite a popular service at McDonald's allover the country. Why they don't offer any of these services is beyond me. I can see why the drive through would cost alot to set up but you would think the pickup service would be a no brainer. And to top it all, the sitting area is quite small, smaller than it was previously with the pizza hut. It's like they're not even trying to compete with McDonald's which is quite a shame really because it seems like they have potential. But unfortunately the place was very quiet both times I visited and I don't see it lasting, I'll be surprised if it lasts as long as the Pizza hut...
Read moreWent here for the first time on Sunday. The place is significantly smaller than you'd think inside, given the space that Pizza Hut occupied previously. Great parking though, which hasn't changed. You order using one of 3 touch screens. Prices are ridiculous but I haven't been to Burger King for a very long time so probably standard but wow. Ordered a whopper meal with no pickles and a diet coke. Didn't have to wait too long. Label on my burger said no pickles but after eating some of it, had to deconstruct the burger to remove the pickles... the burgers themselves appear to be steam rolled flat. My partner got a bacon double cheeseburger and the top slice of the bun was thicker than the two burgers put together. They also don't appear to serve draught drinks so charging for large meals but giving a 500ml bottle of juice, regardless. Overall, the whole experience was pretty poor and the burgers were overpriced rubbish. I wouldn't go back and seems a significant downgrade from having a Pizza Hut in Ayr. On the other hand, the fries were good and the staff are friendly but the negatives outweigh the positives...
Read moreFirst time I've used this Burger King & it'll be the last. After using the self-service machine to order (one machine was broke), I waited for my order to be made, which, to be fair, was relatively quick. The person serving us had no niceties dealing with our order, as did the other person making the food whilst yawning her head off. In fact, I don't think we even got a hello, let alone any other semblance of manners. We'd ordered the food to take home, which is only 5 minutes away. By the time we got home, the food was cold, as was my hot chocolate. We had to reheat everything to try to make it palatable, but as it was reheated in the microwave, the taste wasn't very pleasant. All the food went in the bin as it just wasn't very nice at all. As stated, this was our first time at this restaurant & I'd never want to go back again or even recommend this place to anyone. All the things most people would expect of a restaurant, pleasant staff with manners & warm food, this place severely lacks. It was a waste of just over £20 seeing as it ended...
