Oh dear, this place is dire, if you want fast food then avoid at all costs. We must be gluttons for punishment because we keep trying to get good service from here (previous comments below) but continually keep getting let down. I tried to get two lattes tonight (about 21.30, so not too late) using the drive through, only two cars ahead of me, won't be long then, WRONG, after ordering which was nearly impossible because the intercom is all crackly, I joined the queue. 20 minutes later, I reversed back and left the premises without getting anything. Come on, Burger King, do you actually know what fast food is??? If there is a delay with an order, then send that car to the waiting area and serve the next car. It's not rocket science! Or if there was a problem, then let everyone in the queue know, then we have a choice to either wait or go. Note to manager, your evening shift squad, team, or whatever they are called are going to shut you down within a year with this level of service. Greggs and McDonalds from now on and to be worse than the Kirkcaldy Retail Park McDonalds is an achievement! Previous comments- We used the drive-through previously on three occasions and were not able to get lattes, this was after 9 p.m., so I'm thinking they had already turned the coffee machine off before closing up. The excuses were broken, cleaning, and the best. We have run out of milk!!! I don't know if you've noticed, but you're right next to an Asda!! Anyway, on our fourth visit, we went inside to order and did get lattes this time with our meal deals, although not much of a deal as we found it quite expensive at pennies over £20 for the two. We had the chimichurri burger and double cheeseburger meals. Mine was ok but had a soapy taste to it (is there corriander in the burger sauce?). The cheeseburger was good but very thickly made. The chips were good. The server was polite, prompt and well presented. The eating area was clean but not busy at all. There was one other customer and one delivery driver, not good if you're trying to...
Read moreIt might be teething troubles so take this with a pinch of salt (there's plenty on the food, yikes).
It was quiet; there were only two other people in (waiting for their orders) when we arrived and started ordering.
We used the screens which are a little bit awkward and not very intuitive. Tried to order the chimichurri burger but it wouldn't add it to the basket like it did for the other burger we ordered. So had to choose something else.
Then we waited for over 20 minutes. The two people in front waited as long as that too and there were awkward "wonder what's taking so long" chats. Eventually everyone's food was ready within a few minutes of each other. Not sure what happened (no one told us).
Reader, it was not worth the wait. The drinks machine had no ice and the drinks came out at room temperature and tasted flat. The food was bland and very salty. The chips were decent and hot, but everything else was tasteless and sad. The vegan nuggets were especially grim (and don't have to be: the ones from Domino's are excellent).
The place has a cool 70s scheme but despite that it was still somehow clinical. And we had trouble finding a table (in the empty restaurant) because most of them were dirty.
I understand it's new and will still be finding its feet, but a new fast food place needs to make a good first impression. Especially one of the big famous ones like BK, there's really no excuse. Don't think we'll be back, especially with a Mackies opposite, but I wish them luck and hope we just visited on...
Read moreFirst day open but sadly a poor first impression. Was not overly busy at drive thru. .6/7 cars in front of me but took 42mins to get food. Appreciate first day can be overwhelming but communication not great. After 23mins I got to order point. "Be a minute" was the voice. Around 5mins later he came back and took order. Got an apology for wait. No problem. Get to window to pay and receive order...after paying asked if I could wait a few moments and window closed. 10mins passed and window opens "what is your order again?". Window closes once I say. 5 mins later and 42mins in total, I get the food with no apology for wait time. Ok...im a big boy Get home and the Chicken Royale was nice but the Smokey Double Whopper...was not that. Looks a plain bacon double cheeseburger. No lettuce. No tomato. No whooper sauce etc very disappointing. BK are not known for speed and I accept that but wayyy to long for a modest drive thru queue. Could also hear manager or lead person in back prioritising the walk ins which Is fair enough...just don't yell it loud enough for the drive thru customers, who have been waiting a...
