Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Scotland

I am deeply disappointed with the Costa located in Forres Tesco. On numerous occasions, I have visited only to find the seating area closed due to "short staff." This has become a recurring issue, and it’s incredibly frustrating as a customer to constantly face the same situation. The store is relatively small with minimal foot traffic, yet two members of staff seem unable to manage. Their main task appears to be making coffee, which customers often have to collect themselves. In many cases, customers are left to clean up after themselves as well. It is hard to believe that the issue is due to staffing shortages. Instead, it seems that what’s truly lacking is effective customer service and proper training. As a loyal customer, I had hoped for a better experience, but this location has consistently failed to meet even the basic expectations. We use this Costa when shopping at Tesco. The staff and service are first class. Since COVID our visits have been less frequent but what must be noted is the staff’s attention to cleanliness and covid rules including track and trace. All the procedures followed rigorously especially cleaning of tables etc, immediately a customer leaves.
