It feels like home. You help yourself to get the soup of the day, feels as if youāre back at home savouring meals by mum. Thereās tissue on the table. The clay pot dishes are very big portion. Each table gets a takeaway box at the end of the meal to bring the remaining home enough to last another meal. The dishes are cooked in the classic Guongzhou style with proper ingredients to match the meat. Sure not to miss is the traditional Hong Kong style milk tea. Thereās the cold one thatās chilled in the fridge, not by adding ice in hot drinks which would dilute the taste. A moving scene I came across: a chef was having mealtime next to a student.    Read moreVisited for first time today at lunchtime. Looking for a quick lunch on a cold day. Opted for a simple chicken and sweetcorn soup. This was for a takeaway and it arrived within a few minutes. Piping hot, tasty and came with a spoon and napkin. At a little over £3 I thought it was OK. I'd be prepared to visit again and have something a bit more substantial. The venue was busy with mainly folks from the Chinese community and there were 4 delivery guys there collecting for customers. The kitchen and premises look very fresh and clean and the counter staff were very courteous and helpful. As this is situated on the main road, parking is very much take a chance in a nearby space with a parking meter. If you are short on time you may wish to order in advance if taking away. The fried chicken is probably the most underrated item because it is truly can be described as crispy outside with tender and juicy inside, unlike the texture of very very deep fried KFC.
