The receptionist is extremely rude and has no basic courtesy and manners. She speaks to customers very rudely. The only reason we go to this restaurant is because the food is good but the behaviour the waitresses and the receptionist has is way below the standards of common decency. She kept on insisting that we pay in cash even though the card machine was functional. She lied to me stating that the machine was not working, I told her I don’t have cash and then she gave me the card machine to make the payment. Moreover she has no decency. I ordered two plates of boiled momo and they served me fried momos, I informed them and told them it is fine and ordered two more plates of boiled momo for take away. They gave me with soya sauce and I requested them to give me the chilli sauce for the momo which they usually serve at the restaurant. The receptionist refused to give me the sauce and was charging an additional £1.20 for the sauce that comes complimentary with the momo. I was willing to pay for it and then she hands me a tiny box to take the sauce and I was surprised since I ordered 2 boxes of momo, I should be given two boxes for the sauce. When I raised this she said I’ll have to pay an additional £1.20 for another box. She is ripping people off. Please be careful and report her behaviour on social media...

I’m absolutely gobsmacked that this place is still in business. If only I could take away the one star that I’m forced to give. The service is shocking. We went in about 3pm and their was about 12 staff running around with only another table of 2 seated in the corner, despite this we had to order ourselves at the counter and pay up front (which should have been the first red flag) 🚩 I noticed they over charged for my bottle of water but was quickly shot down and told the menu price is wrong. The food was below average, borderline inedible. The beef soup stock tasted like they just boiled the kettle and dipped a small piece of beef trimming into it. Noodles were over cooked and soggy and there was about 3 bits of fat with half a mouthful of beef attached. The steamed buns were like leather filled with out of date dry pork, and their chicken dumplings had never seen a chicken in their life. The only redeeming quality is the price as it’s fairly cheap, apart from that avoid like the plague. Also, as we were leaving another couple walked into the soon to be empty restaurant and asked for a table for two, they were told to come back in 30 minutes because the entire staff of about 12 were all about to half something to eat, at the same time, all at different tables....

Really rude staff.

Refuse to take orders over the phone insisting we need to order on just eat. This would be fine if they had their whole menu there, they don't, I explained what I wanted to order wasn't on justeat and after this the staff said that was right and they still wouldn't take my order.

Another time I came in during lunch to sit in for food myself . I asked to sit at a little table, the girl on staff said it was only for 2 people and I should move all my stuff and sit on one of the high seats in the window. It was a hot day, they weren't busy with multiple free tables and the sun was glaring in.

I asked to stay at the small '2 person only' table and she said no initially but eventually said I could sit there but if someone else came in them selves she would make them sit beside me, again multiple free tables and spaces were available.

When my order came, my sit in food was served in a sealed takeaway container as if I didn't already have the hint that they wanted me gone ASAP.

I don't want much when I go out other to enjoy my food in peace and be respected as a customer, 2 things the staff on hand by these interactions just did definitely...

The service sucks here. I ordered dumpling and mabo tofu in their lunch menu. I knew I ordered a cheap menu but I did not expect how they treat their costumer. Their dumpling taste is good, but the horrible service outweigh it by far. I also asked to have a small plate to put the sauce in but the waitress said “You can just put your sauce in that plate”. Real Great huh? About the food, the mabo tofu DID NOT have any tofu at all. I went to a number of chinese restaurant in my life, and this is the first time I saw a mabo tofu like this. They only put an eggplant and some pork mince in it!! For you who are considering going here, think twice brother Note : the food in the pic is how they look when it was served to me. I haven’t mixed it.

As an ethnically Chinese student, the food is abysmal. Should’ve looked at the most recent reviews where apparently the food quality has dropped from what it was “originally.” Ordered (1) the ‘Special - Jiao Zi pot stickers’ which in spite of being fried tasted soggy and the skin was thick and honestly tasteless filling. Ordered (2) the Sichuan special mince pork noodles and you can see from the photos it’s a hot soggy tasteless mess. You know something is wrong when an Asian food noodle/dumpling outlet has tomato ketchup ready on the table. It’s not legit at all and frankly, disappointing. Despite paying 4.20 for the dumplings and 7.50 for the noodles, I felt like the biggest loser today and got totally scammed

For the restaurant it wants to be it is pretty good. There are so many different meals to order and everything happens really fast. It is definitely not a restaurant for a long stay but if you want to eat a fast but tasty meal it is perfect. As soon as we entered we kind of felt the rush but it was fun. We had sweet and sour chicken and kung po duck with one portion of noodles. It was a good size for us both. We also had fried chicken dumplings which also tasted good but we never had dumplings before so we can't compare. The prices are pretty cheap that's also good. All in all it is a fine snack bar.
