Dalshannon Farm Indian Restaurant (Glasgow) — Restaurant in Scotland

After reading positive reviews,I thought I would give Dalshannon farm a chance to impress. I'm sorry,don't believe the hype. It's no better or worse than a curry bought from any of the other carry out curries available,from the many carry out joints throughout Cumbernauld ! I phoned in an order for pick up and was informed it would be ready in 25 mins. I got held up,making it nearer 40 mins before I picked it up. Now I know I was 15 mins late but I could not believe the chap who passed the customary BLUE bag over to me,told me it had been sitting a while. My meal had been left sitting on a cold metal shelf for anything up to half an hour. Even McDonalds offer to keep,you food warm if ther is any delay with your order! A total waste of £20,do yourself a favour and use Kashmir cottage,where the food tastes better,costs less,you get more for your money and they keep it warm on top of the pizza oven,no matter how long you take to collect it !

First time trying a takeaway from here, very disappointing. The onion bhaji rings were horrible. Hard, dry batter surrounding something unrecognisable. The pakora? Again, dry batter and the chicken pakora was particularly hard. The 2 pooris were ok and the korma was quite nice. The rice and the pakora sauce were the stars of the show, too little, too late though. I don’t like posting negative reviews but this was genuinely disappointing, whoever put those bhaji rings in a bag and thought they were acceptable has no love of food. I’ll give this place a miss next time I fancy Indian food. However, other reviews seem to be very positive so I guess I just got them on...

Decent food - but very bad at takeout - no 15% discount, regardless of what they say on website.

Ordered 4 mains and sides. However; a) No 15% discount applied (see menu on website) b) 2 of the mains were wrong.

Didn’t realise errors until we got home. We were so hungry that rather than drive there and back again, and wait another 15 mins for food, we just made do with the incorrect mains.

If you use takeout, check they’ve given you what you asked for, and make sure you hold them to their advertised takeout discounts off the sit-in menu prices.

All in all, I feel ripped off.

This felt like the kind of rough service you might get from a faceless 4-in-1...
