Used Equis for years, travelled from Motherwell to get fish suppers but not since the start of the pandemic. Had a fish supper from them tonight. Dear oh dear what has happened to Equis!? The batter was brick hard, the fish, what there was of it, was thin and dry. I specifically asked for freshly made fish however this supper was one of the worst I've ever had. If that was freshly made fish, god knows what the fish is like that has been lying in the cabinet. I didn't see the big fryer serve it so am left wondering if he slipped in the dried out fish!? The chips were atrocious, a lot of small, hard chips, not like a proper chip and a lot of mushy ones too. The girl at the counter struggled to close the box, travelling back to Motherwell, you want to try and keep it as warm as possible which she was made aware of, didn't even offer to put it in a big, poor service! After that fish supper, I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth, more like and greasy furry fat feeling. Bring put the Rennie's! I'd never have believed that Equis could have gotten so poor. Just won't be...
Read moreReally disappointed lately. I order frequently from here, hubby and I love the fish, he gets the special and I get battered, occasionally I'll have a half chicken battered or spaghetti carbonara. Have never found fault with the food. Over the months I've used JustEat or the restaurant's own website which gives you bonus points and when you collect 6 they give you a voucher towards a meal. Got my stamp card filled 2 weeks ago and was offered a £17 voucher towards food. 5 days later I tried to use the voucher, but it had expired after 3 days. Poor service methinks. They're willing to allow you months to build up points yet only give you 3 days to spend them. Too bad if it's not possible for you to spend them in that short time. Extremely disappointed as it all seems a bit of a con to get you to spend then not really keep their side of...

It's a great place to take the kids for a treat as the child's menu includes: £6 full size drink, adult size main portion (ours chose some very good macaroni cheese,) scoop of ice cream with wafers, and a mini hot chocolate at the end. As for the adult menu we tried a Cesear Salad with chicken- very fresh, plenty of dressing and tender just grilled chicken, the Salmon Broccoli Penne- lovely sauce and the salmon was very fresh and tender, perfectly done. The ice cream itself is quite good standard too- though the milkshake was more milk than ice cream, good but should have been thicker ice cream ratio. Overall very satisfied for a meal out in the UK (we're...
