Esplanade Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

So I am so disappointed about this one. I really am. First of all for their ice cream they get one million billion quad zillion stars for that. They get one star for their coffee, I mean it's coffee and it's drinkable. I ordered a beef burger and it tasted like a cowpat on a bun. It truly did. Now I want to point out that I am an easy going person and you can see from my reviews I do give honest reviews. This cafes food is not up to par and tasted horrible. Everyone in this day in age is all stressed out. Please don't let my review stress you out in fact if it does then read this part only. Five stars for everything. I intend to keep on trying this cafe to see if it improves. I will update regularly. No car parking. No disabled parking. No toilets. Update 1/sep /23. Unfortunately yet again the food in this place is not to my taste. I tried it again and orderered something different and it was actually quite disgusting in taste. Am so sorry to have to report this but I will not be giving them my money from now on. Unless the food becomes a lot better then.... I am a supporter of utilising local business, spending your money local but it won't be in here. Sorry esplanade cafe but up your game when it comes to food. Also all of the loud voices of staff shouting needs to stop. Lots of love to everyone who works there because I understand their all...

SOUR MILK/OR NOT CLEAN EQUIPMENT

I am really disappointed in the ice cream I had the other day.... 😔

I'm not sure if it was a one off but the ice cream tasted like sour milk, like it had been left in the heat to go off.... 🤮 I'm not sure if it was coming from the actual ice cream or if the equipment hadn't been cleaned properly but it really wasn't nice at all... My daughter barely touched hers & put it in the bin & me, being the sort of person who hates food going to waste, tried to finish it but I just couldn't.... Even the flake tasted wrong... I'm not sure if it was foosty or if it was a cheaper version of Cadbury's chocolate I do not know but it didn't taste right at all.... 😔

I used to live round the corner & frequently got ice cream from here so I am really, really disappointed....

I just hope it was a one off but it has really put me off having it again.... 😔

The best Italian ice cream is from a little cafe in Gourock, I swear by it.......

Love their ice cream been there good few times but totally disappointed about the staff and service will never come again. Staff serving customer ice cream counter and then same staff helping the chef making rolls with cold meat 🥩 with out gloves and filling the roll holding the meat from Container and after touching cold meat with out washing their hands back to ice cream counter and serving the ice cream disgusting 🤮 🤮🤮. Very poor hygiene. They have open plan kitchen every body can notice what they doing. Just come out with out buying ice cream totally disappointed never come back. Staff must need a hygiene training how to deal with raw meat and other food...
