Hookd Eastend Riddrie — Restaurant in Scotland

I'm so disappointed. The food in this place is crazy good, I'm a very regular customer. However, I had to make this review.

2 months ago, I phoned in a small order to collect. A cheeseburger meal with only fresh onion on the burger. I specifically said this to the girl. I got home to find it had mayo and all other ingredients on it. Sadly, I had to throw it out and go to bed hungry.

I have been since and it's been great, because I bought other stuff.

However, tonight I called in another order; a cheeseburger meal. The man on the phone asked if I wanted anything in addition, I said no, but to please make sure there is no mayo and only fresh onion on the burger.

I picked it up and came home to find it had everything else except onion. Again, due to not being able to eat mayo, I had to throw it in the bin.

I really hate wasting food, but this is the second time they have gotten ingredients & allergy requests wrong. And because I'm a one-person household, there is no one I can give it to instead, I have to throw it out.

It's a real shame as ingredients are so basic to get right and their food is generally really great. And they're pleasant folk with good banter. Disappointing.

I think from now on, I shall have to ask them when I go in to pay to ensure there is no mayo.

Even if I wasn't allergic, mayo still does not belong on red meat, it's...

Seen this place on tiktok and been twice in 1 week. Amazing stir fry donner loaded chips. chilli chese bites and then we got a pizza. They gave us spicy chicken instead of spicy mince but said right away to call next time for a free spicy mince. The chicken one was amazing and currently waiting on our spicy mince. Customer service has been fantastic and can honestly say this is the cleanest chippy I’ve ever seen but not just a chippy with proper oven cooked pizzas (amazing crust) and all the loaded fries and sides. I've been a customer here for nearly 2 years now. Easily the best in the area for customer service, quality and the delivery is always fast and professional. The shop itself is always clean and the staff are all friendly.

I've never had a bad experience with Hookd, the worst I could say is that once I asked for just salt on my chips and get vinegar as well. I still scranned them down like a champ.

The Pizza is the best I've had in Glasgow...
