The food good, atmosphere was good as well. Service was terrible. We waited the same amount as we ate. When we first sat down it took them about 5/10 minutes to realise we werent given a menu, sat there for another 10 minutes we sat for about 10/15 minutes after asking for the desert menu. Another 15/20 minutes after asking for the bill. We ended having to walk up to the kitchen for them to serve us. I had ordered off the childrens menu as i had a 1 year old, the brought out a giant pizza that was for him. I did order him a pizza but this was the size of the adults, we had asked the lady and man that put down our food if that was from the childs menu, both agreed. We were shocked but since we had been told and had never been before we took it at face value (i did order him the garlic bread which was child size so it is not like they didn't know there wasn't a child there) when we paid we realised that they added on another "mother day special" when only 4 of us had it since the childs menu never counted which meant they had lied to us about the pizza being on the childs menu, not only that the mothers day special is a 3 course meal and we only paid for the pizza. I'm sorry but the food is not that good that a pizza should cost £25. Sadely we never realised this till we got home as we were annoyed at being ignored most of the night while we watched staff eat at the bar and stand about giggling. The only time i seen the staff running about is when i seen the welcoming staff come through (im guessing they were the managers since you could tell when the staff got to work) when the staff notice you, they were amazing. They would interact with my son and waved to him when he screamed at them for attention to only pretend to be shy. From this experience i would not suggest going here, but im going to put it to being mothers day and it being busy (though does not excuse the mess up on the bill nor does it excuse the staff...
Read moreNice looking little place, 2 time visiting, always busy. Visited Tue 24th Jan for dinner.
Servers - male host was polite and pleasant. The waitresses seems to have the wrong priorities though. We sat for more than 5 minutes with empty glasses. They walked past us a few times, and looked at the glasses, and then went over to set up tables. Yes I could have waived my hands but it shouldn't have happened. In the end we didn't stay for desserts tho as we got frustrated.
Food - had garlic bread and cheese which I enjoyed, soft and tasty, good amount of cheese. My wife has the baked feta, she enjoyed it, I thought it tasted nice but way too much oil for me. Had the 2 steaks for £30. My wife asked for very well, which it was. I asked mine medium well, but it only had the slightest of pink right in the middle, most of the steak was more well done. Chips were nice and crispy, good portion. Side salad was also a good amount.
Price - £30 for the 2 sirloin, which is a good deal tbh. Pints are nearly £6 and bottles are roughly just over £4 - bit pricey for the east end but it's a little fancy restaurant.
Don't know if I...
Read moreTried Kastriots for the first time with my son on Sunday night . All I can say is your missing out if you don’t try this restaurant. The food is amazing nice atmosphere and the staff are second to none .so good I convinced my husband to go again with me for lunch today. He has plain taste in food so had the Greek meatballs and then cheeseburger which he loved but I convinced him to try my risotto with asparagus and mushrooms with the option of added chicken which I’ve now had at both visits as it’s exquisite and to my surprise he loved it no is going to order on next visit. A must try is the baked feta with onions peppers and olive oil with the freshly baked soda bread it’s beautiful. Highly recommend this restaurant the food atmosphere and staff make this restaurant a well worth visit. Also very reasonably priced. Sorry for the pic of the half eaten soda bread but couldn’t...
