KFC Ayr — Restaurant in Scotland

Did the drive thru here, which I've always thought wasn't designed properly as when you get to the last window, you have to turn the car to exit near a pillar. I personally think it should be the 2nd last window, which would make it straight out. The day we were there, the young guy dealing with us through the headset was very polite & professional & we had a laugh & joke with him, which was great. There's one person we've dealt with here before & every time there's no joking with him & he's deadpan talking to u. He's the same every time. This day was great as he wasn't there & the young guy was brilliant & a real asset to this restaurant. Our food was good & stayed warm until we drove the short journey home. It's not always this way. There were also 2 lights that weren't working properly & flickered so badly that we were just glad we weren't epileptic, so hopefully, they've been fixed. This restaurant, at times, can be a bit hit & miss, but this particular day, it was great & that's what I'll judge it by. Here's hoping the next time we come, it'll be the same level of food that stays warm & the same young guy serving us. I'm not sure of his name, but he was fantastic. On a personal note, I don't like the fries now that they, I presume, put pepper on them. It's bad enough when fries are really salty, but pepper on them too is a fast way to see them go in the bin....

When we first went in. Guy came up to us asking if it was takeaway or sit in? We told him Sit in. He said only one can go up to the counter as they were trying to avoid crowds up at counter. That seemed fair. I told him we didn't know what we wanted and needed to see menu. He just walked away. We went online to look at menu. Tables weren't clean. Missed 1 drink from our order, had no salt. We had our granddaughter with us and her ice cream was melting . It was spilling onto table. Went to counter and asked for something to clear it up. Was given a bit of blue roll and told that was all they had. On way back to table with this little bit of blue roll my husband seen a full roll of blue roll and a spray on a table. We used that to clean the table. So much for keeping area at counter clear. It was clear at the order point. But at the collection point 5 people were waiting to collect their food. At least 4 just eat drivers were standing waiting on orders too. There were no napkins, no spoons out at the front of the counter. Had to go back twice to get them. Some tables had residue food lying on them. Hardly the cleanest when they are meant to be on top of hygiene. Would...

Picked a late night snack from your Ayr Heatfield retail park store. After taking the food out of the bag we realised it was cold, no major complaint as we knew the store was shutting soon. Started eating into my mini fillet burger, to realise that there was something like a hair, a long and thick hair, in the middle of my food. When i pulled it out the hair like thing was embedded into the burger. All i wanted after this experience was a refund for the £1.99 mini fillet burger, however when i went into the shop this was far from what i received. The server at the till not at fault here, she took my burger and showed the manager. After a minute or so, the manager comes over and basically calls me a liar, told me it couldn’t be any of his staffs hair THEN says maybe it is a THREAD! He tells me i’m not getting a refund but i can get a replacement burger. Asked him if he’s joking, said he’s not. Told him to keep the £2, but i won’t be back. The manager knew he was in the wrong because he didnt even have a reply. Even if it was a thread and not a hair does that really matter ? Don’t call your customers liars KFC, really not...
