Went to treat my sons at local KFC Kilmarnock paid with Apple Pay at drive-through got a receipt straight to my phone from Apple Pay saying you have paid £20.55 at KFC, at Queens Drive Girl at the till said sorry the machine didn’t print me out a receipt then she said it looks like you have not paid for your meal. I showed her the Apple Pay receipt which you can send straight away to your mobile phone when you have made a purchase. I also backed that up by showing her my bank details with the payment on there as well same time same location same price but she still said payment is not going through I was not to get any food for my sons. I was to go back in five days after the money is not been transferred back into my account I asked for the void receipt to prove it’s not went through on their end she declined and also manager Caroline area manager so cold to be said the void Receipt is only for her till only And I’m not allowed a copy of the void Rashid for my own records the only receipt she can give me was the receipt you get when you order your meal with your meal saying exactly what you paid for and it says at the bottom how much was charged to your method of payment? Read moreI'm posting this mid pandemic, just after the big food chains have had the go ahead to reopen and the queues are trailing for miles out the carpark, so taking that into consideration, the wait wasn't too long, the staff were Polite and friendly, adhered to all social distance regulations and contactless delivery. All in all I was very impressed BUT, they got an item in my order wrong and after 13 weeks of no KFC I was absolutely gutted to hear that the krushem Machine STILL isn't working! So 4 stars it is.

Read morePathetic. Drive through order system broken so drive to the window that's all lit up, eventually someone appeared and waved me to drive round to the final window. One car was waiting a while at the window and eventually asked to park. My order finally taken I too was asked to park. I saw people arrive, enter and get their food, walk back to their car and eat their meal. When they left I went in for a refund. Only good thing I can say is the manager has that refund process down, lots of practice I presume. No apology. Did hear them discussing how long I had waited, I guess I passed some benchmark they have and they didn't argue about cancelling the order.
