I recently visited KFC Dumbarton with high hopes of enjoying a satisfying meal, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. While the food itself was decent, there were several significant issues that left a sour taste in my mouth.
Firstly, one of the most frustrating aspects of my visit was the lack of acknowledgment from the staff. Despite standing at the counter for a considerable amount of time, it seemed as though I was invisible to them. Not receiving even a simple greeting or acknowledgment made me feel undervalued as a customer.
Moreover, the restaurant was bustling with teenagers, and it seemed like a hotspot for them to hang out. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this, it became a problem when the staff began to prioritize flirting with these teenagers over providing quality service to all customers. It was unprofessional and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for those seeking a pleasant dining experience.
Adding insult to injury, my order was not prepared correctly, and several items were missing. This only added to my frustration, as it appeared that the staff's lack of attention to detail extended beyond their interactions with customers. It's disheartening when you pay for a specific meal and don't receive what you ordered.
Despite the nice taste of the food itself, these glaring issues overshadowed any positives. The lack of customer service, staff's inappropriate behavior, and missing items from my order left me deeply disappointed with my visit to KFC Dumbarton.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend this particular KFC location based on my experience. It's a shame because the food had potential, but the unacknowledged presence, teenagers taking precedence over customer service, and the order mix-up make it difficult to overlook these shortcomings. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving the overall customer experience at...
Read moreOh dear. The Colonel would be demoted to Second Lieutenant for this one.
I went to the drive through. Every item of food was barely warm, not even remotely hot. Despite ordering a side of beans, I was not given a fork. And there was so much rubbish lying around in the car park it was like a scene from the 1984 film "Threads", depicting life in Sheffield in the days following the outbreak of a US/Soviet nuclear war (a device detonates near to the city resulting in widespread civil unrest; including looting). My food was served in a large box only and not double-wrapped in a paper bag as is the case at other KFC drive throughs... not a big deal perhaps, but as the box had to be large enough to contain ALL of my Banquet meal PLUS my additional hotwings (coldwings) it was too wide and began coming apart at its base due to the weight of food, and any additional pressure from my fork (I had to go back round and ask for one). I usually expect to receive the main components of a Banquet meal in a smaller box, with any additional hotwings in a separate small greaseproof bag.
There's always the possibility they were having an "off day" in the kitchen, or were short on supplies, so I don't want to be unjustly harsh. I think though, this site could do with a troubleshooting visit from someone at East Kilbride KFC - a sort of fried chicken Gordon Ramsay.
No complaints about the taste; shame I didn't have a microwave...
Read moreMe and my family travel for many hours, so we thought let stop for KFC and take some food with us because is dinner time. I ordered everything separately so we could split and give everyone what they order. Staff put everything into 1 bucket mix all our food. I went back and ask to change it because that not what I ordered. Staff at the beginning refused that saying that’s what they do when they see many of different chickens and it is easier for them to put into 1 bucket then pack everything separately! My fries also had a pepper and salt on it but they shouldn’t. The member of staff who had red spots on this body was rude! I guess he called a menager/team leader (a skinny man with black beard ) was just looking at me and adding extra comments. At the end they start speaking Scottish so I cannot understand, that was unnecessary. Also, the restaurant is absolutely dirty, a lot of papier lying on the floor, the tables were not wiped. Really bad customer service. I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life. This place should be close down or they definitely...
