Haveli Family Buffet Restaurant — Restaurant in Scotland

We visited this buffet for lunch after seeing many great reviews online. We were surprised to find the restaurant completely empty, which made us a bit hesitant.

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. The bottomless drinks had a very strange taste, as if the lines hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. This was consistent across the different sodas we tried.

The food was a mixed bag. While some items like the spring rolls and vegetable pakoras were decent, the salads (coleslaw, potato, and pasta) had a noticeably funky taste. The pizza and curries also had a bizarre flavor that was quite off-putting.

Hoping for a better experience, we moved on to dessert. This was the most disappointing part of our meal. The pink meringue had a very unpleasant smell—the closest comparison would be a wet dog. The white chocolate from the fountain also tasted gross and old. We were so put off by everything else that we were afraid to eat the ice cream and jelly, even though they were the only things that seemed okay.

We went there last night after a trip to Blair Drummond , we had read the previous reviews which were good. And pleased to say that . . We were not disappointed at all. The restraint was quiet (which surprised us) and they have good covid measures in place, station for hand gel and you are now.served your buffet by a member of staff, to keep distancing. The food was very very tasty, piping hot , yummy, between the 3 of us we had some of most of the dishes , there are Turkish,Indian, Italian and Chinese dishes available. Its not a huge selection lime.some massive buffet places, but I would say that what is not there in quantity is better for the quality served. Staff were lovely and helpful and friendly. This is a buffet type restaurant, booking is preferred if you have a large party with you of 5 plus if less you can just go in. You have lots of variety to choose from such as European dishes, Asian, Indian and much more also there is cakes, sweets, ice-cream, choc fountain and tea & coffee on hand for the sweet tooth. Food was good, choice was excellent, for a family I would recommend this, it appeals to all. Alcohol and soft drinks are available at the bar. Prices vary,but it is very reasonable.
