A massively impressive business.
Okay here's the thing. Myself and my daughter have been holidaying on Arran for the week. I am sick and tired of hipster businesses that must have followed the AirBnB takeover with locals selling up.
On three occasions I've planned to go to a place for us to eat the following day only to find that it's only open Thursday to Sunday (Thai restaurant), doesn't do pizza on a Wednesday, is closed on a Monday (bakery).
What I love about LRC&WD is it's always been open. It's bang in the centre of town and could have churned out any crap and made a profit but the food is fabulous with plenty of healthy options but also fry ups if that's your things.
Serving sizes are decent, service is fast and friendly despite the size of the place. For a place this size to be so well run is remarkable. It's really really impressive.
Minor quibble - your espresso needs to be ground finer as it's a bit thin.
Staff deserve a huge pat on the back and management should feel very proud of what's being done.
A remarkable place. The best in Arran by...
Read moreMy wife and I were on Arran visiting family and went for a wonder around Brodick and decided to pop into the Little Rock cafe and what a choice that was, first impressions the interior was beautifully decorated and a brilliant layout with the shop with local food and drink on one side at reasonable prices and the café on the other side, the staff were so friendly and all had smiles on their faces, we were seated immediately and the choices of food were so difficult to choose from, we had the haggis nachos and the New York sandwich, both arrived quickly considering it was relatively busy, the portions were a lot bigger than I expected for the price and the quality of all the ingredients was spot on. To finish off we had a coffee each and it was a lovely smooth coffee with local milk that was so creamy.
All in all would recommend this place to both locals and visitors alike.
Thank you to the staff for such a...
Read moreEnjoyable little breakfast in a beautiful sea-front location in Brodick. Very friendly staff, great location, nice atmosphere. In the spirit of honesty I’ll say this: If you are after a quality Scottish breakfast, and perhaps visiting Scotland, they have a good one here but I’ll say this; I love Haggis, but I didn’t love this one. Very strong in the flavour of liver, So if this is your first foray into trying haggis as a tourist, and you don’t like it here—give it another go elsewhere; might I recommend “Dingwall” haggis.
The Cappuccino had so much coco it was pretty much a mocha, and kinda wreaked the coffee. The Black coffee was okay, but nothing to write home about.
They also have a great little shop showcasing some of the best items from the island.
All in all, really good...
