Lotus Lebanese Resturant — Restaurant in Scotland

Honestly, we were hungry and in the mood for something light but filling. Decided to chance it and look for a Mediterranean/Lebanese spot. It was quiet, and the staff very polite. Everything was delicious. The pita was piping hot, with a perfect amount of char. The hummus and sides delicious and full of flavour. Excellent falafel, nice crunch and the inside was delicious. The lamb shawarma was perfect, the lamb was tender, had a good aroma, and the fat was rendering itself as it was cooling. Phoned restaurant to ask where food was as I had been waiting an hour and 20 minutes. Restaurant informed me they had “just seen” my order. I then cancelled my order and asked for a refund.

Restaurant then informed me it’s a “3rd party company” that must refund me and that I have to wait a week for refund. Explaining to the restaurant that this is not my problem and I wanted my money tonight they hung up on refused.

I then made my way down to Lotus on Dumbarton road at 9pm which was 2 hours after my initial order, they still refused to pay me cash and phoned the said 3rd party company who will pay my refund. I had to wait a further 20 minutes to then be told again I’ll have to wait 1 week for said refund....

The first time few years ago , the place was really good. Now , forget it , bad service , very plain food hardly any special , very very bad attitude from unprofessional staff especially a kid looking after the counter. I dont know how it still managed to keep these stars and reviews .and to top it up these guys have just been given a hygiene warning from the authorities. Save your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere. I will only come back only if everything has been fixed ( hygiene , prices , customer...
