The Wee Lochan came highly recommend by a friend, and the overall experience was excellent.

We arrived to a small shopfront, windows steamed with condensation from the open kitchen inside and an almost ‘Ready Brek’ - you’re old enough to remember - orange glow from the lights.

We felt incredibly welcome as soon as we arrived, almost as if walking into a family kitchen with a few tables of strangers and the service was attentive, warm and authentic throughout our meal.

The menu is seasonal and carefully curated; that it’s elegantly balanced is appealing, and between us we could’ve chosen to eat the majority of starters and mains on offer, a rarity in many restaurants.

The food was absolutely delicious, exquisitely cooked and presented on piping hot plates.

Chef knew all the customers when we were were there and discreetly moved between tables, chatting and welcoming feedback on the food if offered.

The Wee Lochan felt like a Pandora’s box of surprises, and like you’d been invited to into the warmth of someone else’s kitchen.

The team really care about produce, how it’s prepared and presented and the overall experience they offer customers means it's a new favourite - we can’t...

Where do I start, every meal is better than the last ❤️ I moved in to Scotstoun just as Chris was decorating and preparing for opening. I saw the name Wee Lochan Kitchen on the new sign, so stuck my head in the door and asked was it anything to do with the Wee Lochan Restaurant and if so did they do the amazing Cullen Skink which I loved. Chris explained that he had been the Head Chef at the Wee Lochan and the Cullen Skink was his recipe. I could not wait to try his food and everything I have tried has been excellent and of such great quality, excellent portion size and amazing value. I have brought lots of friends and family over the last 6 months and every one loved it as much as me. Chris is very welcoming, feels like you are going round to a friends (even his cheeky banter is good) and the amazing Morgan was the perfect waitress, we were sad she has gone off on her travels but Rachel is doing a good job of filling Megan’s shoes. Cullen Skink is still my favourite but love trying everything...

This is my absolute favourite place to eat. The food is exceptional - Chris and his sous chef have that rare magic touch that turns tasty food into something really special. The restaurant is cosy: about 20 covers, and this adds to the atmosphere. The door opening and closing on a cold night means whoever is sitting nearest the door becomes the most popular diner as they fend off draughts 😇, but this tends to happen in bursts rather than throughout a meal. In warmer temperatures those next to the door resume a less elevated status. The service is always friendly, relaxed and efficient. Prices are very reasonable indeed for food of this quality. It's BYOB and soft drinks, coffee and tea are available too. I have now been back umpteen times since a friend introduced me to the WLK about a year ago. I suspect as word gets out about his talent, Chris will be booked ages ahead so I'm enjoying as many visits as I can before I'm on a...

I only had the pleasure of visiting the original Crow Road location once and really liked it. So after a walk we had a lovely visit here on a Sunday afternoon. I would recommend booking as there are only a few tables. We hadn't, but we managed to get a table outside. Service was excellent throughout. Menu offered fantastic value with current deals of 2 courses for £17 and 3 for £20. We both got the Sunday roast and along with the roast beef came a braised beef shin which was a fantastic meaty bonus. Everything was delicious and just the right amount of gravy. Starters were also of very high quality and taste. Don't be put off by the surrounding neighbourhood. I would recommend this little restaurant for a visit.

4 of us went to dinner at 3pm with a reservation as it’s such a small place. When we arrived the windows were steamed up and all the other tables were full. Not a lot of room to get seated. Service was prompt, it had to be in such a small place. There were at least 5 people working there and the main preparation area is visible to all. We had drinks, starters and mains. The food was very well presented and thoroughly enjoyed. The door was opened a bit to let fresh air in and clear the windows. Best to book a table here as it’s easy for it to be busy.

The Wee Lochan Kitchen was recommended to us by a friend and our experience there exceeded our already high expectations. The staff were so friendly, thoughtful and kind. The chef adapted the menu for our dietary requirements including vegan and gluten free. The food was beautifully presented, reasonably priced and taste delicious. The red was cosy. The best experience of eating out in Scotland so far.
