Fossil Grove — Attraction in Scotland

Tried to visit on Sunday August 1st 2021 when it should have been opened but it was shut. Oh well Victoria Park is still nice but came specifically to see the fossils.

Edit for 2024: We went to the website and found out was only open every 3rd Thursday of the month from 12-4pm and finally went to visit in August. Its a fantastic location it should be promoted more and open 7 days a week. Instead its only open Sat - Sunday. its been getting run down since the computer was damaged and parks dept have not repaired the computer generated program.

Its still worth a visit but could be better improved what needs is gift shop and more care from local city council to promote this unique historical site. added couple images...

A visit here won't last more than 20-30 mins but it's well worth it if you're interested in Earth's ancient geological and biological history. Note that the visitor's centre providing access to the fossils is only open during the summer months (Approx May - Sep) although the surrounding park and gardens are open all year.
