Had phoned the week before to book a table for mothers 82nd birthday, which is advised, think there was only one table for 2 left. Table for 4 adults and one large dog. 5 min drive from stonefield castle and a few minutes to decide where to park 30m from the entrance, road is busy with parked cars but there is always the car park 5 min walk away. When we booked we didn’t know what the weekly special street food was, our luck was in, That weeks Street Food was Cuban…. Slow Cooked Mojo Pork Moros - Rice & Beans Piccadillos - Fried Potato Fritters Mojo Sauce Avocado Salad. All of which transported us back to our visit to Cuba, and for me made my night, cooked to perfection and spot on for Cuban taste and style. The rest of the meal is tapas style, so we ordered a few of the dishes, Muhammara Pani Puri Cantonese Langoustines Arancini Scallops in black garlic, tamarind pea broth We were seated, drinks on table in 5 mins, food arrived within 20 mins all at once, ALL of it was great, again my favourite was the scallops, Mother did moan that there was not a lot of meat in the langoustines but that may have been because of the effort needed to get at it. The staff were great (Owner and 2 young lady’s), Im not a great tipper, but felt I should leave 30% of the bill as a good way to show how impressed i was. The best dinner by far we have had as a family (we voted on our choices later that night)

Lulabelles in Tarbert Argyll is an absolute gem of a restaurant. From the moment you step into the small, cosy space with its beautiful dark-themed decor, you know you're in for a treat. And let me tell you, the seafood platter is nothing short of amazing. The freshness of the seafood is evident in every bite, with the smoked mussels and scallops being particular highlights. And don't get me started on the potted squat lobster - the portion was generous and absolutely delicious. The bread was also fresh and filling, the perfect accompaniment to the seafood. The waiting staff at Lulabelles were friendly and attentive, with a charming new waiter who was very helpful. And I have to mention the toilets - beautifully decorated and extremely clean, a sign of the attention to detail that runs throughout the entire establishment. Overall, I can't recommend Lulabelles enough. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to pay them a visit - you won't regret it. Five stars all around.

We had a meat&cheese platter and a seafood platter. What can I say? It was just phenomenally delicious. And anyway, the restaurant is quite different to others. It is no standard, no one fits all. Apparently, the owner like dark colours. Lots of black and purple was used on the interior. In some way this ambience supports the food in a positive way. Amazing. Along with friendly and attentive service the stay at the Lulabelles will be a great experience for you as well

Terrible service from an unpleasant owner who seems to think she had a god given right to judge others. If as she told me most of her staff had covid she should have been closed. It was obvious from the start she wasn't going to make enough money from us as we only wanted coffee and cake at 3.15 in the afternoon. We left and went elsewhere. We had not put up a bad review at the time but when I said a month or two later that it was less than welcoming she turned really nasty and had us banned from the Tarbert Facebook page as her pal was the admin. Just for criticising her cafe/bistro. When my friend posted a poor review she said "From out point of view we are delighted that you won't be back. Your £6 revenue is just not worth the rudeness we experienced from you and your friend. You were in the wrong, take a step back and think about more positive things in life you may surprise yourself ".

At the time I was too upset to take it any further but now several months later I want to respond. We were not rude even when you told us to go to another cafe as we only wanted coffee and cake which would have been about £12. The fact you mentioned this just shows that you are greedy and only wanted to serve folk that you can make a profit from. You also had us banned from the Tarbert Facebook page just for criticising your service. Finally the whole "judgement about taking a step back and looking at our lives is totally insulting. What you didn't know was that my friend had brought me down to Tarbert as it was my birthday and to celebrate the fact that I had just undergone and survived a year of gruelling operations and treatment for cancer. So understandably he was upset that you were so unpleasant when he wanted to treat me to coffee and cake. I have waited to respond to your piece of self satisfied vitriol but after several months felt that I could not let it go. I hope that you will have a look at yourself and will not be so quick to judge two strangers who only wanted to have coffee and cake and a pleasant afternoon. One day you may also have a cancer diagnosis and if you do I hope that you do not encounter anyone as self opinionated as yourself. Your food maybe good, the reviews are excellent but sadly your personality is...

Popped into here last minute for Dinner when visiting a friend with my son the other week there. From the phone call to see if any tables were available & throughout our whole time there, the experience Was amazing!! The place itself inside is absolutely beautiful. All wood with an old vibe to it.

I hadn’t realised what kind of menu they done. But I was not disappointed. I have some dietary restrictions and each one was accommodated too with ease & fantastic customer service! Both soups on the menu that day were delicious, and massive portion sizes, we ended up changing our mains from separate dishes to a sharing platter & still took some home, the chef did try and warn us 😅. My son said the brownie after was amazing too! From the Chef, super bubbly, cheery & easy to chat with, to the barman who went above and beyond to accommodate my wee boy and what he wanted to drink & makes the most refreshing Soda water n lime (fresh Lime juice used was so refreshing) we had the best evening.

We will definitely be popping in on our next visit. Thank you for such a wonderful...
