McDonald's — Restaurant in Scotland

My McDonald's review:

Why do I go here? Because it's near to where I live. We popped in earlier for a quarter pounder with cheese meal, fries, a small cheese burger and caramel frappe. I paid the bill using my phone which pinged success and also get a receipt on the Google pay app. The server tells me it didn't go through and asked i pay again. I told her it did and she reiterated it didn't. When I asked for a cancellation receipt, she said her terminal had froze so couldn't give me one. I had to ask for a manager at that point. Sour face came over and asked me to refresh the app several times to see if I received a cancellation of payment. I did refresh and there wasn't one. He then told me this same thing happened to someone earlier and it did eventually go through. At that point my sister pointed out to him that his terminal had 'payment successful' on it. Now bear in mind, the server asked me to pay again, and he asked several times to refresh my payment app knowing this had happened to someone earlier. Anyway nearly ten minutes we waited for the order whilst watching them fill the milkshake machine and fulfil online orders for collection. After fiddling about with that, he then comes over and tells us the frappe wasn't working, and did we still want to wait for the burger. I'd have told him to stuff it but my sister was hungry having just travelled for 5 hours on a bus from the North of Scotland. Seriously, the face on the manager was sour. You'd have thought if taken a dump in his soup, but it was me that was being robbed, not them. This McDonald's never ceases to fall well below expectations. I hope every time I go there it's better than the time before, but it never is. More fool me for going. I'd give less than 1...

Do not go here. Waited for 15-20 minutes for food in restaurant. Got a fillet of fish with half a slice of cheese and the fish was overdone. Asked for another, but they just put more cheese in my burger. Who knows how that burger was handled behind the scenes!! The chips were cold and soggy so I asked for more, got very undercooked chips in return. No apologies for either. Asked for manager who came to table with angry face. Told her problems but she was not nice nor interested. Told me fillets always came with half cheese but they didn't. I used to work there and have had these burgers for years. I asked for my money back. No apology, was a horrible experience. No one in place seems happy, bothered about food or customers, wants to be there, takes pride in their work. Seems like children are running the show. A poor show!! I'm appalled. I think the lack of humanity was the most worrying part. Environmental Health officers might be interested too. McDonalds kitchens in the UK are now hidden [by design] and we the public can't see what's going on in there. From what I HAVE seen, it seems like a carry-on most of the time and employees hide from customers, so how do we know that standards are being met? My burger could have been tampered with on this occasion. Glad I didn't eat it. Complaint made online...

Dont know why i keep going back here, i go every month or so and to be honest in the last 2 years ive not had a meal correct. Just got home (15mins drive away) they forgot to put fries in with big mac meal, had to wait in waiting bay as they were cooking fresh fish fingers for the happy meal, got home and they were harder than chinese algebra, so they went in the bin. Tried to phone several times to let them know the fault and put my name in their wee book again to get free meals the next time i go. Dont know how many times my names in that book. I honestly dont know how the staff cant count to 3 and only put 2 items in the bag its scary and it baffles me. I once went to the drive thru and sat in the car park as i knew my order would be messed up, so went back in spoke to server, who apologised and fixed the meals, went back into car and was still wrong, went back inside spoke to manager who eventually fixed the issue. What chance you got if they cant get it right the first 2 times. Wish me luck tomorrow when i try get my free lunch. Will keep everyone...
