Average food, poor atmosphere, don’t take card payments.

We went to eat here on a Thursday evening around 7pm. There were one other table finishing off their meal. Once they left we were alone in a quiet restaurant. Due to this the atmosphere wasn’t very pleasant. We also noticed there were a few dirty tables which hadn’t been cleaned and dried food on the floor, presumably from the night before.

The staff were pleasant and friendly but ultimately this didn’t really aid to the empty restaurant which was semi clean.

The food was very average and really not as flavoursome as I would expect. We took recommendations from the server so we expected these to be their best dishes.

After finishing our table was cleared away and I asked for the bill. It didn’t come and so I had to ask again, when it did arrive the last straw for me was when I was told they don’t take card payment. I could either pay by cash or a bank transfer - I do not think this is acceptable. In this day and age pop up coffee shops take card payment, so I can’t understand why this place doesn’t.

Went here whilst on a spontaneous pass through Greenock (wouldn’t have gone anywhere near if we realised what an actual dive the place was!)

It was far from cheap, but the food was ok. I wouldn’t rush back. Cash only, but strange these days.

They looked busy with takeaway but we were the only table in the restaurant and it was a weekend. This meant that the female owner wouldn’t leave us alone the whole time. Wanted to tell us her life story about her inheriting her fathers business bla bla. Even after we had finished and paid she kept us talking for another half an hour until we rudely had to leave.

FROZEN FOOD, LATE DELIVERY TIME

Put order in at 7pm and waited Over 1hr 30mins late called down shop to be told it’s on its way 3 times food arrived and was frozen cold called back down and asked for a fresh ordered to be sent girl on phone said no they close in 30mins asked for refund to be told no I can’t do that but call back Wednesday and you can order again which I was to pay for all over again avoid this place they take your money and don’t refund you or make fresh order and staff are very rude on phone food...
