Went to this (Port Glasgow) McDonald's after a run on our motorbikes. It's a 24 hour McDonald's, so by the time we got there it was a little before 1am. So we went in to order as did many other people who at least had cars, but they had barriers up round the seating areas and after we ordered we asked if it would be OK if we please sit in the young girl serving said she thought no, hesitated and then said I'll ask the manager and when the manager came out she instantly just said an abrupt cold hard no. So we had to sit out at the tables outside in the cold, my hands went purple and my food went cold and the hot drink I had was lukewarm when I got it so went cold really quick and didn't do much to help warm me up, it also tasted strange with an added flavour that wasn't pleasant. It didn't taste like hot chocolate. I'd had the hat trick burger a few nights before and it was great, this time it tasted like the flavour was different. Unsure if this is because the Balloch location does things better, or if it getting cold so quick had anything to do with it. The fries were good, normally they don't salt them and they taste like cardboard, instead they were quite good this time. When we went to leave I seen a group of 4 people proceed to sit down in the seating area with their food... Management clearly picks and chooses who sits in and who doesn't. When it's a 24 hour shop with seating area and no notice to say that you can't sit in during certain hours. It should really only be a 24 hour drive through. Worst experience I've encountered with this particular location. Disappointing, more so for the attitude from the manager. Although, they were kind enough to let my friend use...

So we drive in we order at drive through. We then drove forward to where we normally pay but no one was at the window to pay …… the car in front was at the middle window and drove forward to a third window where as we sat at first window which was closed shut we wondered if the second window was where we paid ?
Having waited what felt like an age and a car beeping behind us we drove forward and an employee gave us our drinks she was about to hand our food over when I explained we still needed to pay …… after explaining there was no one at first window …. She said she would take my card down to the first window and pay ( oh no … no one is taking my credit card and disappearing with it … no chance) so she said we had to go around again
So we went around again where this time ( after waiting in queue) someone was at the window … hurrrayy! We then got stroppy service when we paid and no apology didn’t even say anything when I said no one was there earlier…. Then onto window to get food where it was handed to us with not a word and no sign of an apology !!!
Having just returned from the US this stroppy teenager service is a disgrace ! Get your order wrong or a problem and you get your order free …. Here you get stroppy service and no apology !

Repeated it 3 times to him as it came up wrong on the electronic board and he acknowledged the correct order and directed me to the next window. Order arrived, was just about to drive away and something told me to ask what was in the bag . Couldn't believe it when he said it was a legend meal not a 3pc select meal !!. Was told to drive to next window and wait. Was eventually given the bag back and informed that was correct. Drove out and away. Pulled into Greenock water front to eat my meal. Opened back to find all the chips in upside down and everywhere and no barbecue dip as requested 3 times !! Lovely new facility - what is happening to your customer service and training!!! Thought I would call the manager and tell him. No number available anywhere to call the restaurant. Will soon be like Ryan Air - too many customers - doesn't matter what happens to many of them - plenty queuing up to take my place no matter how poor the service. Feel...
