Can’t praise this establishment enough. Lovely staff, very friendly and accommodating (veggie in our group asked for a meat dish to be made veggie) We ended up eating here 2 nights as the food was so good. They have a great selection of wine and gin. The wine you can buy off the shelf and just pay for corkage or you can buy it at shop prices and have it as a takeaway, great idea.
Decor is nice a modern, nice and clean and plug sockets with phone charger points (nice little touch)
Best dishes I had were the breaded aubergine in steamed buns and the venison. The aubergine starter was hands down one of the best things I’d ever eaten. Everyone has different tastes, but for me the aubergine dish was just something really special. Not too filling, soft steamed buns and it was a veggie starter but I didn’t miss that there wasn’t any meat in there. I asked for the venison rare and it came out rare, cooked perfectly On the first night I had a prawn and noodle salad. An extremely generous portion, so much so I struggled to finish it. It had a really nice spicy broth, had just enough of...
Read moreThe best foodie experience in Nairn and we always visit whenever we come to visit family. I love restaurants who specialise in small plates and One One Two definitely do that so well! Always such a good varied choice of dishes, beautiful wine choices to pair/cocktails/beers/spirits and non alcoholic choices. We opted for the bao bun tempura soft shell crab, bap bun with panko crumbed aubergine, tempura monkfish, halloumi pea and courgette croquettes and slow cooked beef massaman curry. Each and every dish was served beautifully dressed with other little pieces. Only managed to photo the dessert - the brownie gateau, the absolute star of the show! Delicious! Look forward already to our visit later...
Read moreThis place is attractively presented and the menu has great choices using local ingredients. We both opted for the venison sausage sandwiches and were really impressed that it came with a generous helping of side salad and cous cous. The cous cous was particularly tasty and a great alternative to the less healthy usual options such as crisps or fries. Coffee was great and sugar free Irn Bru was available (a definite thumbs up from my son who we only allow him to have sugar free drinks). I would like to particularly remark on the waitress. She was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Great place to eat...
