Come spend time at the Cawdor House in Narin. Hosted by three wonderful ladies, Kerstin, Manuela and Heike, you'll be treated like gold. Cawdor House was built as a Manse for a church in the 1800's, everything about the property is beautiful. Wonderful light airy and open rooms, with a wonderful sitting room downstairs make for a cozy time in Narin. Only a three minute walk to downtown Narin, home to Ozzy's and The Classroom Bistro. Both were great places to eat, the Classroom being very casual with a bar, and live music. Ozzy's more of a formal experience. The breakfast room in The Cawdor House is wonderful. They make a wonderful Latte and their home baked bread is wonderful. Come spend a night or two and enjoy the hospitality at the Cawdor House and leave rested.

The lady who welcomed us was lovely and friendly. Our room was clean with everything you need, tea/coffee facilities, TV, hairdryer, shower gel, hand wash ect. The bed was comfy. Very quiet room during our stay. The shower runs good and hot. The breakfast was really good and had Gluten Free options for me (bread, croissants, bagels). You get a choice of eggs how you would like them. There was cheese, ham, and fruit. The coffees are really good. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a charming space that was warm and inviting. The loveliest women welcomed my family with comfy beds and delicious breakfast. We took a recommendation for dinner at a beachside restaurant that was walking distance from the house. Nairn is a beautiful town with everything we could need and enjoy. Cannot wait to make a return visit!

We stayed at Cawdor House for a few nights in September of 2015 and loved every minute of our time there. From a helpful phone call directing us through construction on our way there, to the generous help with bags and getting settled, we felt cared for from the moment we arrived. The rooms were delightfully cozy, warm and clean. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows and extra blankets. My favorite part, though, was breakfasts with Paul's lovely company and food. We were treated like queens,we were served delicious food and enjoyed his witty company. He was so helpful in providing insightful tidbits of information and historical details about the areas were planned to explore each day. From the great insight about where to taste whisky, the best places to see dolphins and which castles have the best tours. Our visit to the area was so much better, just having Paul's guidance each morning. I almost forgot to add my love of the food!!!! The porridge each morning, perfect pots of tea, the whole English breakfast was prepared and presented perfectly. He even surprised one of our vegetarian companions with vegetarian haggis. I miss our mornings at Cawdor House and if I am ever to return to Scotland, I will definitely be heading back. I do plan on recommending it to anyone I talk to who's planning a trip to Scotland. I LOVED...

Arrived late at 7pm or so, there was a closed sign on the gate. Looked like no one was there. No one answered the doorbell until I was out the gate and going down the road when they opened to say the cafe was closed but the hotel was open. They are known for great food and artisan German baking in the downstairs cafe since the owners are German although I didn't try any. Inside was very very clean, room was extremely clean and furnished in traditional English style. However the room was poorly insulated and cold with bare floorboards. Looks nice but uncomfortable on bare feet. Radiator was hot and on full but the room wouldn't get warm so at one point I tried sitting on a blanket on the floor against the radiator while doing some laptop work. Bathroom was immaculately clean. Owners were friendly and nice. Great covid protocol. Bed was comfortable. WiFi was easy to use and good. Hotel was efficiently run and well maintained. Rooms have tea and coffee facilities and toiletries. An OK stay but would not stay again due to the bare floors and cold rooms and overall check...

Excellent location, helpful and enthusiast Host

Nice historical house very well restored, in a quiet road, yet very close to the city centre and the beach. The staircase is very steep… but Andy is truly helpful, and also very well-informed and enthusiast about the area. Ask for anything, and he will surely know it!

Our room had a lot of space for luggage, good mattresses, good shower; however, we would have appreciated a handle for entering/coming out from the bathtub (the shower was IN the bathtub) We also lacked an aerator in the toilet, and larger curtains against the early sunrise…

Breakfast was very good, and we loved the cherry on top of open donation whisky, in the cozy yet elegant lounge!

We don’t particularly agree with the fact that the GIANT pictures are befitting the house style, or the surrounding environment… anyway, this is an excellent B&B, and we would be pleased to come back there when in...
