Oscars Pizza Pasta Burgers — Restaurant in Scotland

Great place. Very modern feel and clean. Although not sure if it was the time of day I went, it felt like there was too much staff where they out numbered the guests. The prices are on the higher end of a burger joint and that could put a few people off who only see the menu/prices and not the food size. ALTHOUGH the size of the burgers are something else, I could not finish the food I had ordered. And it tastes all fresh. Personally I think this place needs to be advertised more, and maybe have pictures of the food/burgers on the website, I think this would promote more visits.

Had a 2nd visit to this location. The welcome to the restaurant was pleasant, shown to our table promptly. And the menu is the classic burger place style, Pizza, pasta burgers. But this is where the service started to go downhill. We ordered 2 burgers with a side of onion rings and 2 diet cokes. The burgers were like dry rubber, I assume they are pre-cooked then flash heated when an order comes in. It isnt too big a deal to grill them to order to keep the fresh juicy taste. Where someone in the party couldnt finish the whole burger due to rubber texture. And the staff didn’t question why half the food was still on the plate when we were finish. The waiting staff stares at you while you eat from the bar, which is off putting. Poor customer service from the waiting staff. The onion rings were too thin and dripping from the grease, to the point there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl/basket. Also the coke draft was so strong and syrupy, when we questioned with the bar staff, they just advised it was normal and they recently had a new supply. It tasted it was like a 50-50 mix with the syrup and soda. Way too sweet. In the end they gave us another glass of the same draft. So the same problem still existed. Every item we ordered on the menu was subpar and not worth the money. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. As my 1st visit had issues, and the 2nd visit has more than the 1st. Seems like there is no really control on food or drink...

If I could review this with a 0 stars I would. We had my grans wake here and we were all very disappointed with the experience we got. To give people a proper in site to my thoughts on this I will break this in 3 sections.

First the buffet and soup. The soup was very thick and tasteless. To make it worth while I did need to put quite a bit of salt and pepper in it to make it worth eating. The buffet itself was shockingly terrible (There is other words I would like to use however will not go there). There was only two plates of sandwiches which was clearly not enough to cover who was there. The sausage rolls were cheap tastless and dry. The cakes were cheap and not worth even picking up as they were so small. Infact these cake were scarely similar to the same ones you would get from iceland for next to nothing.Now this was £9.50 ahead which was extremely over priced for what we got.

Secondly the staff. Now this is something on the day that I personally had no issue with as the staff were friendly and polite.

Thirdly owner and the way the complaint was handles. This was my mother that dealt with this. The owner was very disrespectful and did not take any ownership for these issues that we made him aware of. This person was being very disrespectful and ignorant. He refused to help correct this or acknowledge any of the wrongs.

So to cap this off I would not recommend this place for an event at all and it would also hinder my opinion on the restaurant which I use to be fairly regular in....

This was a complete waste of money, the salad was limp and 4 tempura prawns is a joke for £7.50 for that price should be double and a decent amount of salad should be provided. There was a blonde waitress who waited until I went to toilet to bad mouth me to the person I was with who I don’t know very well . The girl has an issue with me , and has no right to discuss me with anyone, especially someone I barely know, she kept hovering around the table to try and make me feel uncomfortable, although the person I was with didn’t tell me about her comments until I was home. Based on what she disclosed I will be seeking legal advice about data protection, and my rights. I’m having a very difficult time and have been on the receiving end of domestic abuse that affected my mental health, and she disclosed my breakdown with a ver near stranger to me.
