This is one of my favourite places to eat out, and i don't manage to visit here nearly enough. The food is always fantastic (my photos don't do it justice) generous plates filled with the best ingredients that have been cooked with passion. Rosie knows how to combine flavours to make you enjoy eating so much that you forget to speak to the person you're with! It's a lovely place to sit, there's a nice relaxed atmosphere here, and plenty of space so you don't feel you're lugging into other people's conversations. What's really enjoyable is hearing how the younger staff are encouraged and praised. In between cooking her fantastic food Rosie pops in and out of the kitchen keeping an eye on things and chatting to everyone, I think she must know everyone in Montrose. Make sure you book as there's only a few tables and a...

A very aesthetically pleasing building set in what looks to be, an old bowling green. There were bowls outside which gave the impression that the pavilion was a bowling green clubhouse at one time. Very nice looking indeed. The staff member who served me was very pleasant and helpful too.

I was surprised that there was no menu on display even though there were chalkboards in view. This may have been because of the prices as they are quite expensive and given the portion sizes which were quite small, made it feel exceptionally costly.

It is a nice quiet spot, perhaps not many folk know about it or use it regularly although i did see two tables that had been reserved when I walked in.

I would say that the food was excellent quality though, bacon had been cooked perfectly but there wasnt enough to...

Pavilion is a lovely little cafe restaurant serving both breakfast and lunch. Advised booking as they only have a few tables and with what they offer, they're always busy.

Being first time tourists in the area we went here for breakfast. Their cut-off time was 11:30 and despite us arriving around that time they still served us quick and efficient. Had a bacon and egg roll with mushrooms and an eggs and bacon on sourdough.

They given un sightseeing advise and places that were well worth visiting.

The only downside in the entire visit was that we had no room left for their delicious looking cakes and had no chance visiting again to try their scrumptious looking lunch menu.

If you're in the area, local or tourist or just driving through, pop in, give them a visit, it'll be...

After finding ourselves in Montrose due to bad weather, we decided to stop for lunch. We found the Pavilion Cafe through other reviews, which rated it very highly. We were not disappointed, the service, food, cleanliness, friendliness and taste of the food was amazing. Given the current situation, the staff politely served us, being careful about what they were touching, etc, whilst wearing masks and social distancing. I ordered the Chicken flatbread, my wife ordered Macaroni Cheese and my son ordered a baguette. The food was delivered quickly as were our drinks. The food tasted amazing, especially my flatbread. Would definitely recommend this fine establishment to anyone visiting Montrose. .

Had been hankering for a big brekki for a few weeks after having back to back things going on, could I find somewhere, nope 1st place we went to didnt have it and another day passed by then we found this place which we have passed many, many times but never really looked into it's purpose (shame on me thinking it was a bowling green) so finally we went in and omg the brekki was spot on!! Plenty of it too, brilliant service and had a look at the menu and they do some really nice alternatives and have a nice lunch me u also. I would highly recommend this place, service, ambience, food and cleanliness. I will definitely be back
