The person you spoke to is a young member of staff whose English isn't perfect, and not the owner, who was away at the time, which is why you received the telephone call on his being informed.

From what he can gather upon questioning the staff, apparently a glass shattered at quite a long distance away from a box of onions. The glass was cleared up, but it seems that some shards must have flown quite a distance un-noticed by the staff.

The staff have been warned to be more vigilant to ensure that there is no repetition of any similar incidents.

The bottom of my list for best Chinese I’ve ever had. For 3 reasons. When my partner went in to collect the food, the blonde server was extremely rude with no manners. I must admit when I arrived, I was thinking, this looks run down on the outside and empty and dull on the inside. I wasn't expecting the food to be great.
