Salmon Leap — Restaurant in Scotland

Place is an absolute joke . Had my baby shower back in October . A week after booking they done an offer for a dj with the hall for 75 I'd already paid 50 for the hall apparently they couldn't give me the deal as I booked the week before ... Same thing happened I booked this January for my son's christening next Saturday. Chose the same hall I had my baby shower in. Went in to confirm table numbers etc today. They've booked me in the wrong hall and a baby shower ( booked on 10th Feb) was in the hall I'm supposed to have . I said well you will have to do something to sort this . Woman was for doing nothing about it . Told me I needed my receipt of booking etc . Went away home to get that ... 2 hours later i get a call to say it's all sorted and changed . No I don't think so . Customer service is absolutely appauling. How you dealt with me as a paying customer is appauling. I am now without a venue next Saturday for what was supposed to be my son's special day. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole . Wish I had booked the murray bar . Staff where amazing when speaking with them hall is free LCD screens for putting usb in for photos etc. Lesson learned here and I will never book with...

Had a function here, can't comment on the bar or lounge. Hall was fine, food from Jim was great, and bar staff were really good. Service and communication were appalling. Picked the hall and got DJ all sorted, decorations bought, gets to a couple days before and only then are we told no decorations on the walls, fine we adapted. Day of we set up early, finish setting up and get told that we are in the wrong room for they've booked for us. Tried to make us move to a hall we never picked from the beginning. Get that straighented out and night goes alright. At the end we talk about cleaning up and what we want to keep. Go back to find out all our decorations were binned. Jim cooked 35 steak pies followed by apple pie for my dad's funeral yesterday! Not one complaint everybody loved it...although some couldn't finish his very generous portions. He was lovely, nothing was too much trouble and he just could not do enough for us. We had eaten there twice in just over a week and have loved his haggis fritters curry & lasange...oh and sticky toffee pudding...lol And will be popping in again before we return to Brighton on Sunday....😉😂 Thank you Jim...it was a difficult time And you made it easier knowing I didn't have to worry x
