Loved my long cortado - really good coffee, paying attention from sourcing beans to dialling the coffee. The service was also really good and there is plenty of seating to have the coffee.
I would only improve on the pastries - I would have happily eaten one but they were all topped up with sugary things. In my opinion it's always best to have a plain croissant or a classic pastry to get the quality of the item. I felt that this could improve. Maybe it would be good to let customers know where the pastries come from.
Other than that, I'm super excited this place is here. It improves an already good coffee scene in Glasgow....

Despite the plethora of excellent options nearby, songbird is my favourite due to the welcoming and friendly staff, their excellent “dirty” chai lattes (made with real spices not syrup) and their selection of ciabatta toasties. I love the oat cappuccinos here and their chai lattes are reaaally good, you can tell they are made with real ingredients not overly sweetened. There is wifi available.
