Southesk Inn — Restaurant in Scotland

OK so me being a woman on her own....sometimes the stigma sticks from years ago (woman can't go in pubs alone) but after a nice Walk to the wildlife centre at montrose basin and meeting lovely staff there I thought....nope I'm gonna be brave and go in...and my god what a welcome! I was made to feel so welcome I had more than 1 🥴🤣 x love it!! Fantastic staff and fantastic regulars. Had a great time...thank you so much! And as I said "I will definitely be back" Its a huge 5 stars from me, a random visitor from dundee made more welcome than some dundee pubs make you feel...

Clean lovely pints, beautiful nicely decorated pub and the staff are great. Nice selection of whiskeys, rums, gins and vodkas as well as a range of cocktails that are just ok. They also do snacks and small meals. The bar area is a bit tight with not much room but they have a small lounge that's very comfy as well as a pretty gazebo space. Usually love thia place but tonight i felt a bit rushed with my meal the waitress was never away from our table then started asking to box up my meal before i even finished it as i looked like i was struggling this was a bit annoying as i would have liked to take my time and enjoy my food but instead iv taken it home...
