Review: I had a very disappointing experience with Sugar and Spice. I placed my order with an estimated delivery time of 17:20 to 17:40, but the food didn’t arrive until nearly two hours later, despite multiple follow-up calls and repeated assurances that the delivery was just minutes away.

When the food finally arrived, it was mostly cold, and the portions were smaller than expected—especially the curry, which only had three small pieces of chicken. The loaded fries were completely drenched in sauce, making them almost inedible. By the time the food got to me, I was so hungry that I just had to eat it quickly, but it was far from enjoyable.

While the restaurant did offer a £10 refund for the inconvenience, it didn’t make up for the overall poor experience. I was really looking forward to a nice meal but ended up feeling let down and frustrated.

Suggestion: Please update the delivery status on Uber Eats more frequently when there are delays. It would help manage expectations better and avoid such disappointments.

First time I ordered from this place was through Uber eats and I honestly thought wow I have actually found the best place around. Next time I ordered from here I really wasn’t impressed as the pizza was half cooked but I put it down to a bad night and maybe the shop was busy and rushing food out (it was a Friday) I tried again a few weeks later for a special munchy box and half of the munchy box order was missing. The order was £15 and lucky if there was £5 worth of food in the box. I complained on Uber eats and supplied the shop with a picture of the box (pakora missing stuff in the box that shouldn’t of been there, cheese missing) they didn’t even have the decency to reply with a sorry they just gave me £5 back. So I eventually got £5 worth of food for £10. Yeah…..I will avoid this takeaway at all costs and that’s unfortunate as the first order was amazing. I can’t in all honesty recommend this shop...

In my 24 years on this planet, I’ve never tasted food this bad. Sugar and Spice should be ashamed to serve something this disgusting. I ordered a grill box, and almost every piece of chicken was burnt to a crisp—probably from being overcooked and reheated who knows how many times. Everything was soggy, rubbery, and just awful. Even my dog wouldn’t eat it.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering, because I could’ve saved myself the money and the terrible experience. I don’t even know how this place is still in business, serving food this low quality. Trust me, if you’re even considering ordering from here, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This was honestly the worst meal...
