Tayview Hotel & Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Scotland

Ordered from the Tayview Hotel takeaway through their website on Friday night for guests I had over. Expected delivery time was 1 hour which I thought was good so I placed the order. Half an hour past delivery time I phoned to ask if it had left yet and was told it had left as it was not in the kitchen, another half an hour passed and still nothing. It arrived an hour later - total waiting time three hours! I had phoned in that hour and the woman on the phone was clueless as to where it was and no explanation was offered. The delivery man arrived and told me he had four deliveries before mine, one of which was Wormit and the other Tealing! I, myself just live 7 minutes away from the Tayview so I was shocked the Tayview sent the driver to all four first. By the time it arrived it was cold therefore I phoned the Tayview to ask for money off as I was not satisfied with the meal and an elderly member of my guests had to leave due to it being 2200hours on arriving! I asked to talk to the manager which I was told the manager did not want to speak to me- some customer service! I was also told if I wanted any money off they would need to come and collect the meals. Trying to work out where to start. When we got to the hotel we were sat in this room where a member of staff came out with a card reader, didn’t say a word and just displayed it to us. The room was the most expensive one they had but the quality of the room was shocking. The paint was peeling off, skirting boards were disgusting, there was hair on the towels. The bathroom was a mess, the radiator was dirty and rusty looking, the floor felt like you were going to fall through it and the shower didn’t even work properly. We were advised when we arrived that no member of staff stayed at the hotel but showed us where we would get access to an emergency number if needed over night. 0810 In the morning the fire alarm went off. It was a panic, we got out of the hotel room and went outside to where the fire assembly point was. All of the guest were outside and we decided to phone the emergency number to let them know. When we phoned we said that the fire alarm was going off so we phoned them to let them know and they replied with “we told you nobody is in reception until 9am” “someone has been smoking” we were all sure that nobody was. Just not helpful at all. We will not be back but the lack of care from the staff...

We stayed a night here based on good reviews and pretty decent photos of this place.|Having now been here I am convinced the 10 out 10 reviews are totally fake and the photos are nothing like what we saw in reality.|The building where you enter from looks shabby and pretty run down.|The room we were in was small,|the walls were emulsioned and the decor is pretty basic, very little effort or money has went in here.|The bed is up against a wall with a sloping roof going down to barely 3 feet above you.|The sheets were stained, the towels had mark's on them too.|The cream walls showed every mark and chip on them, the worst was near the bed, about a foot below the light switch, there was a large brown mark smeared on the wall about 6 inches long by 2 inches wide, it looked totally disgusting.|What kind of decent place would let paying guests to...
