The Boars Rock — Restaurant in Scotland

I've given this 1 star as it's the only way I can leave a review.! My partner and I decided we would go for Sunday tea after reading the reviews....how disappointed were we!.. on arrival we asked for a table for 2 the waiter said he could fit us in but we had to be off the table by 5pm as they were fully booked, on checking the time 3.15 we said that would be fine..we were given the menus then left for 15mins then another couple sat at the table next to us,, the said waiter then went and took the other couples order before ours.. we then waited another 10mins before he took our order,we ordered 1 bowl of soup which then took 15 mins to come.we then had to wait a further 35 for our main meal..steak pie? Diced overcooked beef in a sea of gravy a small square of cold over cooked pastry is not a steak pie... 1 and a 1/2 potatoes and cold carrots and peas..breaded fish was dark brown like it had been fried more than once..we then had to ask after 15 mins when we would get the sweet..the waiter then appeared with the sweet threw it on the placemat saying I've been busy..busy? Sitting at the back chatting for 15 mins to friends is not busy sorry.. I then addressed this with him to which he then became very RUDE and said again he was busy the couple next to us then told him there was no need to be so rude and I had a point to which he said after your meal DO NOT COME BACK YOUR NOT WELCOME! I told him after the awful meal and service trust me we wouldn't be back! The couple then spoke to the barmaid and advised the waiter was out of order the way he had treated us! The barmaid gave us an apology and asked if we would like to speak to someone called Leanne we declined.. we paid the bill and left and trust me i did not want to pay for it on hindsight we shouldn't have paid...i have never been so disgusted and we won't be back..! I look forward on a response from the manager or owner...

Went in for a couple of drinks and a meal. Waitress wanted us to order straight away as there was a large family group in. We declined and ask to order later after them. She threw the pad onto the desk below the table where we were sitting and stormed away. Wasn't sure if we were allowed to order after the family as she didn't come back after speaking to the chef.
