The food wasn't too bad this time, last time I was there I wasn't overly impressed by the food. It's good for functions however I think it would be better if they had an area that you could drink outside. What I can't understand is how 2 vodkas and a beer equated to £16 the first time and then it was £12 and when we bought a round for our table it only came to £35 for 8 people, something isn't adding up there. I also think that the drink is watered down, drinking nearly 12 hours and not being drunk in the slightest, by the end of the night I even said that I feel like I've not had any drink what so ever and could probably drive home (which of course I never done, already had a taxi booked and went on to an after party 😂). All in all it was a good night but would definitely advise drinking either bottled or canned drinks, that way you definitely know you are getting what you've asked for and it can't be...

Went here yesterday with some friends and it was by far the best tasting meal I've ever EVER had. I will definitely be returning. I couldn't believe the size of the portions. My meal itself was absolutely delicious I didn't need anything else to eat the rest of the day I was so full. The pudding was absolutely delicious best I've ever had. I'd go back for the dessert alone. I was going to order one to take away with me haha. I ordered the steak and onion wrap from their light bites menu. This was huge and stuff to the brim with slices of beef. The hand cut chips with skin on were excellent. Same with the coleslaw. For dessert I had the white chocolate & tablet cheesecake. Next time I'm bringing the family to the Abbotsinch and it may become our new restaurant for meals out. Five stars. Oh and the waiting staff were nice and helpful. And compliments to the chef absolutely spot on. Good value for...

Nice day for a drive, so Wiffy and I did a mini road trip and saw this lovely big restaurant and bar so popped in for lunch.

The entire place is fresh, clean, and comfortable. The food we ordered was delicious and massive. we also looked at our fellow diners plates as they passed. Everything looked and smelt lush.

We couldn't finish our meals, and without even having to ask, the server boxed the leftovers, and we now gave a light dinner to enjoy again when we get home.

We usually plan our venues well ahead, but just driving to nowhere in particular and finding The Abbotsinch was brilliant it maybe a regular thing now.

The staff told us of a lovely big park 4 mins drive away, and we walked off our lunch and spoke with a few dog walkers. Great day all round.

Managed to get a table about half past one on Friday and staff were very good, ordered our meal which was steak pie for myself and Cajun chicken for my wife. When It arrived I was somewhat puzzled as what appeared to be parsnips on my plate? ....only to find out they were "sliced fried potatoes?" along with carrots, shallots etc. Lovely portion but our chips seemed to have been blanched in the deep fat fryer as they looked undercooked and pale and quite hard when you cut into them. My wife mentioned it to the lovely waitress who offered to bring us freshly cooked chips but we declined. This used to be a cracking place for a meal but after this visit I can't see me visiting again in the future. Really disappointed and felt for £42 which regarding the current climate was very very poor value for money!

Does the trick, decent prices and good portion size really was a perfect match. I was really happy with the chips: chunky, skin-on , homemade (not frozen) and perfectly cooked. Waiter was very polite and provided an excellent service without being intrusive at all. Menu is nothing to shout about, but then again we came here for some comfort food and they did deliver. Was visiting Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel with the family and this was only 10 minutes away, well worth the small drive as the food options in either of the two venues we visited were more expensive and did not look to be very homemade.
