The Big Coffee Cup — Restaurant in Scotland

On a wet windy day, we were out and about in the town centre of Coatbridge, where most of the shops are closed. Anyway we visited the Big coffee cup, where to find it was empty and had the atmosphere of a funeral parlour. We waited to be served as the woman behind the counter had her phone 📱 glued to her ear, eventually we were approached by a girl brushing the floor asking us if it was take away or sit in.....sit in please....we browsed over the sticky menu and picked, coffee, thick vanilla milk shake, victoria sponge and a caramel cake, the milk shake was tasteless and definitely not thick or vanilla taste, the cakes were as dry as the Sahara desert, but the coffee was hot, all came to £13.45.....and definitely not worth it.....we tried to pay but nobody was about just the woman with the phone stuck to here earlier, so we couldn't voice our disappointment and experience, so had to leave our money in a basket and go..... I came here for a small lunch meal and bought soup , chips and a scone as well as 2 milkshakes. The place was clean and not very busy. Unlike other reviews i saw the soup was actaully quite bland. The chips were rubbery some how and the scone was stale-ish. The service wasnt the best as I had to remind the waiteress of my order a couple times. Not the best...

Was here today with my sister. I got macaroni cheese and a cup of tea. To be honest, the mac and cheese was horrible and 100% tasteless.
