I think you should review the times that you have on your website for when meals are served. I have been in on 3 separate occasions and your kitchen staff have left early and we have not been able to get any food. Last time being 2 weeks ago, my partner and I went in on Saturday 24th September , I called during the day to ask what time the kitchen closed for meals and was told 7pm even though your website states 9pm at the weekends. We arrived at 6pm and collected menus straight away , the bar staff walked by and when we asked at 20 past 6 if we could order food were told the kitchen was closed and could no longer take orders for food. I was clearly very annoyed after calling during the day and we had not eaten , bar staff I have to say were very apologetic and offered to make us starters free of charge and we were given a drink each free of charge . I was informed the kitchen is ran differently from the bar and the poor bar staff need to deal with the complaints when the kitchen staff chose to leave. I think this should be looked at or at least your times updated to show you only serve food till 6pm at weekends. ( Or whenever your kitchen staff decide...

Lots of earlier reviews might lead you to visit The Drum, after a refurbishment the food WAS great & value for money.

This is no longer the case & the good has gone really downhill.

We (Party of 6) visited last week & found all the portions had almost halved in size. The once excellent Steak Pie was a very noticeable case in point as the meat was very grisly & gravy bland.

The Macaroni was very bland and tasteless too.

No one present enjoyed their meal, which is sad as we're local & like to support local businesses but after spending £140 we will not be returning.

Several of us also found the blonde Barmaid to be rude & quite lazy as she seemed to be hungover and was continually complaining to her co-worker within earshot of the patrons at the bar.

Overall a false economy & poor foresight for long term profitability.

Popped in today with my husband for lunch, I had been before and food was always great, but today we were very Disappointed 😞, my husband ordered a bbq stack it arrived the burger bun was cremated and missing the onion rings that were meant to be on it, I ordered the dipping burger, supposed to be beef burger with pulled pork and red onion and peppercorn to dip in , I actually received a burger with bacon and cheese (which I do not eat) no pulled pork no onion and a split peppercorn sauce covering whole thing. The manager was very apologetic and offered to change and didn't charge, I just worry if people have allergies they are just putting all sorts on burgers.
