The Garden Bar - Inveraray — Restaurant in Scotland

Nice outdoor bar and “street food” place to eat. The menu is pizza or a selection of small portion bites like venison tacos, chicken wing or burgers. OK prices and good quality. Pizza was very good, but venison burger for £8 was a bit sorry looking (see photos) and spoiled by a spicy mayonnaise which was not mentioned on menu. No sides. Tasted OK when I ate round the outside and could actually taste the burger lol. Nice atmosphere and quick service. Fantastic location just off the pier, with views to the loch. Annoyingly they allow smoking and didn’t seem to have any no smoking area as such, so even though outdoors was bothered by someone at the next table who couldn’t wait to light up. Bah....

We arrived on a very hot afternoon looking for shade with our two small dogs hoping for a quick cuppa. The Garden Bar fitted the bill, I would have liked to have eaten there and gone with friends it was that good but it was afternoon, too early for me to get stuck in with the relaxed and happy vibe but it was lovely, like being on the beach somewhere abroad. I know, Scotland is abroad if you're an Essex Girl lol but I'd certainly recommend it if you're hot, hungry and thirsty the atmosphere is a bit more mod than Inverary proper, so the contrast is great and the shade and happy staff were...

The food and setting is great. Dog friendly and heaters under the marquee 👍. Service has room for improvement, not bad but slow. Food was delivered significantly later than the estimated time from the website where you order. I'd recommend just removing that feature if you often don't deliver on time that way customer expectations aren't fixed. Pizza's were over done i.e. some of the surface burnt.
