Nice tower to look at but no information about opening hours or anything on notice boards etc. I guess if you were particularly interested you can research in advance but we were just passing so stopped to talk a look around it (closed Sunday afternoon)

Good views of tower but no information about the tower itself or if you were able to go inside. Stunning ancient tree standing beside the tower too. The town around was lovely and quaint with a few pubs. Lots of paid for parking close by too.

The look of it is great and someone does have to run this place to keep it open, but it feels tired inside. Little updated info and old recordings. Great view from top, a fiver felt pricey.

How lucky were we to have experienced a flat tire a few miles South on Inverary during our drive from Glasgow to Tarbert. We were headed to Tarbert for a night's stay to then get on the ferry to the Islays to Bowmore. We met a kind and helpful local gentleman, John who towed us...
