We were seated without any menus, other tables had water, we weren't offered. A table arrived after us and got served immediately because they said they had a toddler and couldn't wait. After 15 minutes we were given menus, then 10 minutes later asked for our order. I ordered, 'The Giffnock Cafe Breakfast', no description on menu, but thought signature breakfast will be good. Coffee arrive and it was fine, 'Thompsons' coffee is always safe. Partner ordered a steak Benedict and was looking forward to it. When the food arrived, I was pretty shocked at the plate in front of me. Dry toast, two hard poached eggs and 2/3 of the plate was poorly cooked processed meat. 2 tasteless links, oily square sausage, 3 bits of fatty bacon and a piece of black pudding (only tasty part)... No vegetables in sight. For signature breakfast would expect mushrooms/tomatoes/beans. Even a wee bit of butter would have helped, but after 3 attempts of getting attention, I gave up ! Partner said the Benedict was fine, steak was well cooked, but overall not great. The atmosphere was 'crowded', the room is quite bare so it sounded really noisy. I wanted this place to be great, but with MJs and Maples close by, I can't see why anyone would go here after a 1st visit. In my opinion Bramble/Estreet/Strange Brew make this place the 'farmfoods' of brunch places on the Southside. I really hope they listen and do more with this place !

Best of Breakfasts. Had the most amazing Croque Madame. Full of flavour . Quality ham & cheese that was equally flavoursome . Well balanced topped with a perfectly cooked egg . One of those dishes that you don’t want to be finished . Excellent coffee . A thoroughly enjoyable breakfast experience . Excellent service . Thank you so much . Will be back again very soon. Our latest new find . Would highly recommend .

Incredible little Local Cafe. The chef on site is very passionate about her craft. This is shown by how great the dishes look and also how amazing the food tastes. Service with a smile from the staff and if you're in the area, definitely pop into the Giffnock Cafe for a meal or just a homemade cake/ scone and a tea or coffee. It's worth every penny!

First time here for dinner. 2 of us. Chose 6 dishes off the "3 for £25" menu. That was a perfect amount of food. Everything we had was excellent. Cocktails at £9 well prepared, wine lovely and every dish delicious but the scallops were a stand out. At essentially £8 you get 3 big, perfectly cooked scallops with very mildly spiced chilli jam a great accompaniment. Great value. The feta was one of the best I've ever had also. No duds. Even the lowly cabbage was cooked perfectly. So, I'm going to have a general rant about the "it'll be served as it's ready" thing. I can't understand why restaurants that do small plates think that serving everything you've ordered within a 5 minute period is a good idea. Happens everywhere .You wouldn't eat that way in your home. You wouldn't be served like that in a "traditional" restaurant. Why have all that delicious (but varied and not necessarily complementary), warm (but rapidly cooling) food crammed onto your table when you're only just finishing your pre-dinner drinks? Do you want us out as soon as possible? It becomes a ridiculous game to try and consume the "least warm" or "most expensive" dish first then accept that you're going to sacrifice potential "pairing" and have to eat some things cold. The extreme in one Glasgow restaurant was having to put a dish on the floor because the table was too small for everything they brought! I'd love to hear "how would you like your dishes served". Give us a chance to savour each one over our 90 minutes ( and we'll probably buy more drinks!) Rant over Definitely recommend this place for the food and service. Hopefully it will be at the vanguard of the "staggered dishes as you...

Went here on the 1st day it opened and there was a nice selection of cakes, I had a Latte and a lovely pice of chocolate and hazelnut cake, it was lovely. I spoke to Grant that day and told him to keep up the good work. I went this morning 31/07/24 and I was very disappointed because there was a poor selection of cakes so I opted for a scone,I ordered a plane scone and I asked for Jam and cream, I received a scone with jam and butter but no cream. The butter was hard and wouldn't spread on the scone and broke the scone up when I tried to spread it, the latte was nice and warm, but I'm afraid I won't be going back here again. There was a girl who seemed to be in charge but she was running about like a headless chicken and it looked like she was doing the paperwork from the night before, there was only myself and 2 other woman in at that time. I hope the management of this group see my review and do something about this because when Grant spoke to me on the first day of opening he told me about the Group that had this venue and their other venues, so please bring back a good selection of cakes and offer cream with scones and find a better provider of...
