Overlee — Restaurant in Scotland

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Overlee l and I was blown away by the outstanding service provided by Lewis behind the bar. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Lewis was not only skilled mixologists but also genuine conversationalists. He took the time to engage with patrons, making personalized drink recommendations based on my taste preferences. The cocktails they crafted were nothing short of masterpieces-each drink was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. What truly stood out was their attention to detail. Lewis ensured my glass was never empty and checked in frequently, all while maintaining a vibrant energy that made the entire bar feel alive. Lewis efficiency and teamwork were impressive; even during busy hours, he managed to keep the service prompt and friendly. I also appreciated how knowledgeable he was about the menu, sharing stories about the origins of certain spirits and the inspiration behind their signature cocktails. First up, the staff in here are fantastic.They seem to enjoy their jobs and I would take from this the managers are also good at their jobs. Friendly and efficient and a credit to the establishment. The food was impressive too. Had the fish and chips and wings to start. The wings where perfect, next time I am taking in my hot sauces and trying a hot ones challenge. The atmosphere was perfect too. For the rare occasions a few of us meet up to drink, we have in the past gone to Parklands as its on our doorstep. This place is totally worth the 3 mile walk there and 3 mile wobbly walk back. No sound from the TVs or music playing. The loudest noise being the fruit machine which we discovered was on the other side of the partition where we sat.(Table 31). The manager followed up on my previous review and went to extra lengths to apologise and address the things that went wrong on our visit that day. As a result of the he has dealt with the situation I can only say he has pushed the boat out to resolve the situation. We do now intend to use this restaurant in the future as the food is first class. ……………………….. Previous review…………..Shocking customer service. We had a 45 minute wait between courses and my friend had to enquire twice about it. Eventually the manager delivered food and not even a word of apology for the delay. My friend said ‘about time’ and the manager lifted two meals and replied ‘get out of my pub’. What happened to good old customer service with apologies and looking after the customer....
