The Lord Lounsdale — Restaurant in Scotland

I have heard NOTHING from this establishment. NO APOLOGY. NO REFUND. They are liars, give DANGEROUS ADVICE and hope that people reading this are ignorant enough to accept their statement and don't do any of your own homework. They have said this is Myosepta. Please take the time to google this and look up images and then consider that this came out of a fillet of fish that was no more than 6 inches in length. My hand width is nearly 4 inches making this thing approx 2.5 to 2.75 inches in length. Compare this to what you find online. You will see images of Myosepta which fit on a finger tip.

Original Review Found this creature in my little girl’s fish. Waitress was horrified. My pork on the mixed grill was also off. The manager was rude and dangerously told me I could have eaten the spoiling meat despite it tasting funny. Is that not dangerous advice??? Another customer was also complaining about their meal and the manager was arguing with the 2 of us until a large group of people arrived and we were quickly offered refunds before they approached the bar. However, despite having a refund receipt issued the money never arrived in my account. I have contacted the establishment for a second time and await...

Terrible from The Lord Lounsdale today, changed our booking for 1pm to 2pm stating that they didn’t open until then, which is fine, however, when we got there, there was a table eating. They did state that they had problems with the kitchen and when that table turned up, it was ok. Fair enough but why not tell us there were problems with the kitchen initially when booking was changed from 1pm until 2pm… things happen and I rarely leave reviews but my mum asked me to as the manageress could have been far nicer, instead, she had an attitute. It’s how you deal with things after all, not the inital problems! It was my mums 78th birthday and my birthday too which we told them. It would have nice of them offer a small drink on the house due to the inconvienence instead of a defensive attitude. We were at Bel Cibo in Paisley last year for our birthday and had drinks on the house for no reason and we’d only been there twice! We’ve been going to the Lord Lounsdale for 40 years and are known to them! I’d hate to see how they treat people they don’t know! Won’t be back and disappointed and upset how they made my mum feel on her 78th birthday! She’s lived in the area and we’ve been going there...

We went for dinner on New Years Day. It was dreadful! The place was not decorated and there was nothing to make it feel like any kind of 'celebration' The paper tablecloth was a rectangle on a round table and did not fit-had to scrunch it to keep it out of the way. And I did not have the correct cutlery for my meal-despite ordering in advance. Soup was cold. Melon was hard. Turkey was very dry. Vegetables barely cooked. Rubbery yorkshire. Bitter gravy. No seasoning on anything. But the final straw was dessert. Christmas pudding and custard-served on a FLAT PLATE!! The staff said that is how they are told to serve it-they did not see anything wrong with it!? It should be in a bowl! All in it was very poor-just twice the price. Eventually one meal was refunded as it was so obviously poor. This was appreciated and we left a tip for service. But if this is how far food standard has slipped here we won't be back. So disappointing-it used to be great. And the way they treat their staff-Sizzling Pubs should...
