The No 5 Inn — Restaurant in Scotland

Have been here on many occasions and didn't fault it at all however tonight when we come in my partner ordered a halloumi & pineapple burger after our waiter took the order we then had someone else come over to double check the order & even when we asked for cheese on the beef she agreed with us for it then come without an actual beef burger so just a roll on cheese basically for £9.95 so then when we mentioned that it actually was only a roll and cheese no beef at all we were told if it was a burger it would have said that on the menu. So then when we were offered a beef burger to add to it it come out literally 5 mins later and the blood was still running out it. I'm sorry but we won't be back oh and to add to this my steak pie had the smallest of pastry which was burnt and chewy and looked like my 3 year old had put it on the plate to think we actually commented the last time how well presented the food was certainly...

Found this inn by chance and I have to say would highly recommend it. For an off the main Road inn the food was very nice, tasty and hot - compliments to the chef ! This is not just normal pub grub good selection of meals and very well priced the staff were very welcoming and polite and not hassling me during my meal asking if everything was ok Will definitely go back. The only negative thing I would say is the place mats were bevelled and slidy which made your plate move around but that can easily be rectified by putting your plate directly in the table ( I know it’s a silly negative comment) Also the history that the inn has it’s not advertised enough and could probably make it an attraction if they put Burns memorabilia around the walls etc But that’s just...

Staying with relatives in the area, so booked wife and myself in for Sat night. You need to book ahead as it's busy. Amazing welcome from lady behind the bar for a pre dinner drink, nice bar atmosphere. Went through to the restaurant and yet again another lovely greeting. Excellent window table for 2. Menu has something for everyone on it including vegan as well. Superb not rushed service, had to go for the full hit starter main desert. Ooooh still full now! Excellent all three courses.
