Recently heard of this place doing meals and typically we go to a place not far from here sometimes which is very good - so used to a good standard.
The Path Tavern simply did not disappoint.
The service was second to none, very attentive, welcoming and friendly. Took the time to chat to us a little. We also hadn’t booked and they were still able to accommodate us thankfully.
Steak pie was excellent. Succulent cuts of meat with a pie (top and bottom) which was equally fantastic. From the gravy to the veg.
My guest also said his was fantastic.
Simply couldn’t fault the place.
Great ambience overall with an old school styled bar and decorations.
Only regret was not having enough room for dessert as the portions were generous and the price spot on within its market.
Easily one of the best steak pies I’ve had in a while.
Will without a doubt return and have mentioned this place to many others to try.
Thanks for making it a great...

Read moreDo you know what, I really liked this place! First time there, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but the barlady was lovely and friendly, and I felt right at homeas soon as we entered. They also allow dogs, which is brilliant as I'd stopped by with a friend when we were walking the pooch. Love the vintage pub look too, its nice to go to somewhere that's affordable and cosy. Definitely recommend after a walk around...
