The Roadhouse — Restaurant in Scotland

Has been refurbished and lounge is comfortable. Meals reasonably priced and delicious. My female partner is vegetarian and had a child's pizza meal as it was only meatless thing on menu, but when I told staff why I had ordered it, the chef said that if we visited in future he could do a vegi dish for her. Great service. Only minus is that it advertised craft ales outside but none on sale. Cider was OK. Limited menu but recommend for bar lunch....

Despite a large sign indicating a rear car park, access is blocked off. We had to reverse out on to a busy road and find on-street parking. Talking to some friendly locals, they indicated that the car park has been shut for years. Why does the sign remain? Service was a little slow as there appeared to be only one person front of house, looking after both the public and lounge bars. The food was good and enjoyed by all...

As a French guy it was the first pub I ever experienced, and it was a great place ! Friendly staff and people (they offered us pounds for the pool and even for the jukebox, two things we usually don’t have in french bars). That was a pretty good looking place too and the drinks were not...
