Came from Bristol to visit family, and take my elderly Gran for lunch, took a chance because of the reviews and weren't disappointed! Lovely full Scottish breakfasts, kids enjoyed their dinners, especially their coke floats, and Granny enjoyed her macaroni cheese and we shared a very generous pot of tea with 2 cups each. Very good value, with 4 adults and 2 kids, cooked lunch for a shade over £60 (£10 av.). We will be visiting Troon and certainly would come back here and suggest it to other family. Thankyou for a lovely visit!

A nice place to stop for lunch in troon. We prefer to use independent traders rather than chains A lovely greeting when we arrived for lunch. The lady was very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered Cullen Skink plus a bow of chilli chicken wedges The food arrived quickly and was piping hot and very tasty. We were also given some recommendations about places to visit in the area which is great to get locals who recommend somewhere we may not have heard about.

Ok, in the past great food. Attentive staff. New ownership so I came back with my dog having seen online this was dog friendly and it isn't. Stood outside and took this photo of the No Dogs sign so that no one else comes expecting a dog friendly café.* * I have now been in without a dog and the food was great. Good service too. So well worth a visit but leave the pet at home.

Firstly let me say that the woman seating and serving us was lovely and very apologetic about being short staffed (after taking our order).

That being said, we sat for roughly 15 minutes before having an order taken then had to wait another 40 minutes for our orders to arrive. In which time we had asked for our drinks and still hadn't received them.

I had the chicken tikka and although it looked lovely, it was pretty bland. Perhaps just an off day? Who knows. Other members of the party had a panini and a toastie which I wish I had had too as they looked great.

If it hadn't been for my 2 year old son needing his lunch we would probably have left due to the wait.

I'm sure this place has its loyal regulars etc, however we were definitely put off by our experience and sorry to say wouldn't be inclined to return.

Perhaps in future if you are short staffed, close the cafe and only offer takeaway as the poor woman who was serving by herself was run ragged. Having worked in the industry myself, you start to feel embarrassed when you have to repeat yourself to people coming in that you're short staffed and can't offer a table. Close the sit in, offer takeaway and a...

I’m giving a 4 because my wife was unimpressed with the coffee, she’s a real connoisseur so I have to take a star off for that also I asked for a fresh orange and lemonade which was actually 90% lemonade with very little orange. That’s the only negatives though and to be fair they weren’t that big a deal but I can’t really give 5 stars if I have a couple of neggies. Now that they’re out the way, my Cajun chicken salad was lovely, the slaw was really really good and the chicken was done perfectly, most enjoyable. My wife had the chicken burger and she was really impressed with it and the side of seasoned chips were so good. The service was exceptional, really friendly and attentive. Really nice place, I would highly recommend it. Oh, and in my opinion the prices were very reasonable considering the quality...

Nothing wrong with the food and staff fine main issue has been lack of consistency re opening days and hours and I think this contributed to this business closing down.Hopefully under new ownership this business can eventually be a success. But I won't be easy aa the owner who gave up the business did try hard to succeed but sadly to no avail. Still it is wrongly stated on the website this cafe is open when it has been closed for 3 weeks and is still currently closed. It is important potential customers don't make wasted journeys to a cafe that is closed. This being the case I have communicated to Google business is...
