TKH Fish Bar — Restaurant in Scotland

Very busy sunny day in north berwick and the two takeaways around the corner had massive queues ..so we decided to wander a bit longer and came across this chippy which was nearly empty...thinking we had perhaps lucked out we went in!! Unfortunately this was not lucky...there was a reason this place was empty!!! The woman serving us was surly and unhelpful and actually seemed annoyed at having to serve us. if i hadn't been hungry as hell i probably would of walked out disgusted by her attitude!! we took it on the chin though and just took our food as quickly as possible!! The worst was still to come however.....the food was horrible. It tasted both stale, dry and soggy...i dont even know how thats possible!! I'd advise everyone to avoid this nasty place...

It was a sunny evening in North Berwick (and with COVID19 distance restrictions in place) Queue for the North Berwick Fry was up the street and round the corner

Random chap said in passing that the queue was much shorter at the Turkish Kebab house

We were a bit skeptical as we really wanted fish and chips and figured it wouldn’t be the speciality of a kebab house

However we were very pleasantly surprised Fish was excellent fresh, crispy on the outside and flaky and moist in the middle Chips were good and the portion size just right

Think we might make this our #1 chippy in...

Called in at the last minute after playing golf locally, proved to be a good choice. We ordered 2 fish and chips which were very freshly cooked, crispy batter and tasty chips. The staff were chatty while we waited. Don't serve beans which my son had fancied, he had curry sauce (maniac) which was tasty, the peas were fine but could have been a little hotter, not a big issue. All in all very nice, enjoyed at the seafront listening...
