Turkiye EFES Restaurant Uddingston — Restaurant in Scotland

Efes is a charming Turkish restaurant located in Uddingston. My experience was nothing short of fantastic, leaving me eager to return to try all the other dishes on offer.

We started our meal with two mixed cold meze platters, accompanied by bread and butter. Both were plentiful and delicious. The variety of flavors and textures in the meze was impressive and most importantly, very tasty.

For the main course, we ordered two large mixed grills, which were nothing short of extraordinary. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the lamb ribs. Despite my usual aversion to meat on the bone, these ribs were simply "lip-smacking" good. The marinade used was exceptional, making the lamb the best I've ever had. I tried to ask for the recipe for the marinade, however as it's a family recipe, my request was denied, meaning I'll need to come back for more. The food was so good I forgot to take a photo until mid way through our meal.

Efes also caters well to families, offering a kids menu with good food options that kids can colour in, keeping the little ones entertained and happy.

The restaurant itself is decorated very nicely with a view overlooking Uddingston. A pleasant atmosphere for a good meal.

The restaurant's location is convenient with a decent-sized car park, making it easy for diners to visit without the hassle of finding parking.

The staff at Efes were super friendly and exceptionally helpful, enhancing our dining experience. Adding a personal touch, the owner came out to speak with us, and his pleasant demeanor added to the warm atmosphere of the place.

In summary, Efes in Uddingston is a gem. The food is amazing, the service is top-notch, and the environment is welcoming. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent Turkish...

Booked here for Mother’s Day on recommendation from friends with my husband & two kids. One aged 4 and the other 9 weeks old. When I booked I specified I needed space for a pram. When we got there they looked confused and I could see my request on their screen. They fumbled about trying to find us a seat & we were put at the table near the door to the beer garden, which was fine until people & waiters (with trays full of drink) were squeezing by my baby in her pram to get in and out. I didn’t find the staff member who served us helpful either - it was a set menu for Mother’s Day (mum was to get a cocktail included in the price) I ordered a mango daq and paid full price for it as he didn’t tell me which ones were to be included. If the food was as good as I’d hoped it would’ve softened these issues but it was mediocre. Unfortunately won’t be back and won’t be recommending. For the price I’d of hoped for better food, service & to be more family friendly...

Underwhelming first and most likely last visit to Efes in Uddingston despite the hype about the restaurant.

We visited as a group of 3 and ordered multiple dishes from the menu and the general consensus of the food was that it was not up to much.

Wings were dry. The ribs were overpriced and overcooked at £19.95, served with a side of rice? Weird combination.

Atmosphere and decor was nice but wish I could say the same about the quality of the food for the price you pay.

Says it all really when i've had better quality Turkish cuisine from the Merhaba in Bellshill that serves food out of a mobile...
