Yasmins Fine Indian Cuisine Girvan — Restaurant in Scotland

We've driven through Girvan many times on the way to the ferry, but this time, we were staying the night. Found Yasmin's in google maps and were recommended by a local. What an amazing place. Menu laid out Hot, Medium, Mild. Fantastic selection of traditional meals and European dishes. The food was delicious, the Merlot too. But what really stood out was the service. We're from Scotland but moved away several years ago and have been visiting and eating out for the last few weeks. We'd noticed service has been poor in shops, restaurants and cafés. So many of those being paid to serve the customers stand around chatting or on their phones, leaving you waiting for ages. Not at Yasmin. Greeted at the door, seated, menus given. We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was quick as well. They operate a policy where you can bring your own alcohol and they provide the glasses - we didn’t know this but it didn’t matter. There’s a wide selection of soft drinks to buy which fulfills the family style and vibe. The decoration is also very cute. We both had a type of Masala and it was really tasty, along with the pakora, naan and pilau rice. Very spacious and comfortable chairs. Having a few days up Scotland visiting from Huddersfield and can honestly say it's the Best Indian iv had in a very long time the onion bhajis are beautifully light and crisp had the mixed sizzling starter for 2 aswell which I would highly recommend. Portions were very generous. We also had poppadoms and a pickle tray which the spiced onions stood out from the lot. Currys were outstanding and staff very very friendly having picked up from our accent that we weren't local recommended places to try and visit.
