Blue bird bar and bistro — Restaurant in Sefton

Came in for Sunday lunch after a nice walk on the beach with my partner and the kids. It’s about a 20 min walk from there, but definitely worth the trek.

Cannot fault the place at all, the staff were really nice and we didn’t have to flag them for anything. All taken care of almost telepathically.

Food wise the roast dinner was so good. Just a plate of well cooked delicious food with loads of gravy and some of the best roast potatoes I’ve ever had. I was really impressed. As this is a new place I hope it takes off and they get the customers in every week, as the kitchen staff obviously know what they’re doing, and the front of house staff can’t do enough to make you feel welcome.

The locals in Crosby appear to be spoilt for choice and this nice homely little restaurant serves excellent food that is fresh and of very high quality. The staff (possibly the owner) is a friendly welcoming fella, explains the menu really well, the wine list is extensive and the menu covers various basis but is anything but boring. The pulled lamb start was so good, as were the pil pil prawns, and the Andalusian chicken tender and tasty. Wow! Thursday is butchers block night. Steaks at cost price. I got the 35oz tomahawk. £21.60!!! Great choice of sides. Cocktails 2 for £12. My steak was cooked to perfection.
