ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL FOOD AND SERVICE

Visited this place last night - the food was outstanding and presented beautifully (check other reviewers pictures) whilst the welcome was warm. The menu was reasonably priced with plenty of veggie options to everyone's taste but wasn't over-extensive to the point where you think the quality may suffer. It was just right.

I am quite hard to please when it comes to dining out - particularly when it comes to curry. For the starter I had the chicken and onion balls in hot & sour sauce and my main was one of the hot chicken curries. I must say that both dishes were incredibly flavoursome and delicious - as were the veggie dishes I got to taste as well. One of the things I liked the most is that there were nice chunks of veg in both of my dishes - not just meat and sauce as a lot of places seem to do these days.

There is no doubt we will return here very soon with more of our friends as this place really did tick all the boxes and we all left absolutely delighted with the experience. The staff really were so welcoming and the chef even came out to say hello which was a lovely touch. This was by far the best curry I have had in a very, very long time đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ and despite the fact I live in South Liverpool, I will be back very soon. Oh, did I mention it's only ÂŁ3.90 a pint? 😃

Well done Da Mount Gurkha...

Eaten in the restaurant many times. Always well presented with lots of flavour, not the best, but really good. On the restaurant experience alone, I would give a 4 star review. As a takeaway however, the food doesn’t travel well compared with other similar cuisine in the area and this isn’t just based upon this occasion. We had a specific issue this evening with popadoms being in bits on pick up (no biggie), more problematic is the absence of the dips in-spite of us paying for them (realised this on plating at home). We live a 5 minute drive away, but in instances like this we shouldn’t have to go and pick them up again, which is what was offered on ringing up. “I will remember you next time for complimentary poppadoms and dips” also not a good enough answer, sorry and you also didn’t even take enough details to really honour that either, not that we would be in a rush to order again anyway. I could clearly hear the manager/owner speaking to the person on the phone, giving him the answers, which is disappointing really. Just come to the phone and speak to me in person when you have made a mistake to offer your own apologies and rectify the situation. If this doesn’t happen very often, arrange for someone to drive it round the...

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for flavours, spice and food that just hits the spot. As someone who’s grown up with subcontinental flavours - this is probably one of the best restaurants if you’re a fan of authenticity and food that does NOT trigger IBS!! The momos (veg) are just delicious and very similar to gyozas. There’s a great range of starters including platters which are great if you can’t choose just one! The mains are filled with variety and all sound appetising. The curry’s have an authentic feel to it, in comparison to other places which all taste the same and packed full of oil. The fish bhutwa is my wife’s (pescatarian) fav, and the tarka dhal is my (vegetarian) go to! You must try some of the stuffed breads! The onion and chilli! Service is faultless and the venue has a nice cosy feel to it, yet still managed to socially distance us from other patrons. We’ve come back with our family too who were wowed too!

Anytime we’re craving a curry, or if friends come over - this is that hidden gem of a restaurant you...

From the first bite to the last, this meal was as close to perfect as you can get. The chicken momos were tasty, the dips for the 'pops' had good variation, the lamb house curry was so full of flavour, and the chicken dhede khursani had an amazing depth of flavour. The lusani (garlic) naan was crisp and full of garlic but the highlight (and it's name escapes me) is the Nepalese bread, pictured below, the most magnificent bread I've tasted. The whole meal was delightful, and the manager very obliging, helpful with the menu, and grateful for your visit. Superb.

Never knew I needed Nepalese food in my life until I visited Mount De Gurkha. Been several times now service is always phenomenal, always accomodating and really friendly. Every dish I have had is great portion size and an incredibly tasty, excellent value for money. Special shout out the the Lamb Shank on the Chef's specials, up there with one of the best individual dishes I have had the pleasure of having.
